  1. Same here. It has been my favorite album since I started listening to them (californication era).
  2. The Getaway is actually the first album since californication that I listen to regularly. It would have been nice if a follow-up would have been in kinda the same vibe. Though I guess we'll have to wait and listen first.
  3. Jackson JZB-2 Jackson jazz bass, made in the USA. They have been produced for only a short while, so there are not many around. The ash body has some nice grain to it, and the neck feels great with it's satin finish. Action goes low which makes it very comfortable to play. The preamp and pickups are EMG which combine nicely. It sounds full and balanced with a lot of tonal options using the preamp. The bass weighs in at 5kg, so it's not necessarily a light instrument. The condition is very good. It has a small damage to the paint near the neck. Otherwise it just has some minor usermarks. The frets are in good condition, as are the neck, hardware and electronics. More pics: The original hardcase is included. Two of the bottom studs have been broken off, but it's still functional with all latches intact. Asking €850 I am located in the Netherlands, but could ship at buyers risk.
  4. Last drop to 300 before withdrawal.... This is really a good price for a bass of this build quality..
  5. My guess is that a lawyer has contacted him with the suggestion that there might be money in it for both of them... Given the fact that this dude was obviously fine with the situation before..
  6. Seems to be mostly original. Of course the logo isn't. The pickguard has also been replaced (incorrect white 1-ply). Earlier 70s didn't have a thick body finish yet, so might be an original feature. I think it's the original finish.
  7. Cool. Something learned🙂 There are no useful markings on the neck..
  8. Can you explain please?
  9. Still available. I am not interested in any lower offers. Note that bass gallery sold a same reissue at £1250. My current price is about half of that...
  10. Sold
  11. I think the Celinder sound fits the track best, but like them all actually.🙂
  12. I sent you a tip on another miller a few days back. Apparently you don't read your pm.
  13. EU-UK and shipping at a decent rate seems to be history..
  14. Thanks! It's a high quality bass indeed, which was pretty expensive at the time. I must have a German review from that era in my mailbox too The customs thing between UK and EU seems still to be a mess: I was brave enough to buy a bass from a UK based member here, knowing that I had to pay customs. It took about 3 weeks to arrive (pre Brexit would be around 3 days mostly) with unclear tracking and whereabouts. I was waiting for the digital customs bill, so I could pay and receive my bass....until DPD showed up at one morning with the bass. And I've never seen any customs bill, while labels on the parcel clearly show it has gone through inspection. So in the end it was kinda "okay-weird".
  15. Thanks Drew! Just a note to the people; there's also a cool matching Sabre for sale 🙂😉
  16. Pre-EB Stingray Great Stingray that I bought from BC member drewk_ie 2 months back. This bass is a assembled bass, with a 79 body and 82 neck, hardware, pickups and preamp. The pickguard looks aftermarket to me. The body and neck have been professionally refinished, the neck had a refret, and the body a filled up P routing under the pickguard. This Ray looks, sounds and plays the deal. And that at a very decent price point. Pics: As you can see from the pictures; this bass looks pretty fresh. It has a few bumps at the bottom near the control plate, otherwise I've seen no damages that are worth pointing out separately. The bass works good by all aspects. The neck is straight with a good functioning rod, good frets, and all electronics and further hardware work as they should as well. On this Ray I've got the action the lowest on all I've played. It's really comfortable. Comes with an old tolex hardcase. I didn't think I'd sell this one so soon, as it's the nicest Ray I've played. Though I decided I need a 60s Fender, so almost all my basses will go to raise funds. Don't feel sorry for me, I still have a Modulus Flea:) The bass owes me €1.550. So that's what I want back for it. Price is decent and fixed. I am happy to ship at buyers risk and expense. Ps: Drew, I borrowed the 4 inside pics from your ad, I hope you don't mind. I didn't want to ruin the setup.
  17. Seems like you really would like to buy this bass Seller hasn't logged in here for 2,5 months now. So it probably doesn't help sending loads of messages. Good luck.
  18. Fender Classic 60s Jaguar Very good Jaguar from the Mexican classic range. This is a lacquer version which means nitro is involved in the finish. These guitars have the USA 65ri pickups fitted from the factory, which sound great. The guitar has been used so has usermarks like scratches and dents, and a few damages to the lacquer. There is some fretwear, but nothing that affects playability. Overall the guitar looks fine though, and it plays very well. More pics: The case in the pictures is not included in the sale. Asking €800 The guitar is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk (could take the neck of)
