  1. VTbass 500 Great little amp, designed to do Ampeg like sounds. The amp looks like new bad comes with EU power lead and manual. Asking €300 I am located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk.
  2. Fender Jazz Bass 1966 Great vintage 1966 transition model jazz bass with the beautiful dots and binding combination (done for just a short time). The bass is all original except for a refret and new bone nut. It plays great with a low action. I've got thomastik jazz flats fitted which do a great job. Sounds great with rounds too though. The bass has a very rich and clear sound, and does the bridge pickup snarl beautifully. The technical condition of the bass is good. The neck is straight, and the truss rod turns both ways easily. The frets are good too and are almost free of wear. All electronics and hardware are functional. The bridge pickup appears to be microphonic though, which causes feedback when using my fuzz pedal. As for looks, this one still has very vibrant burst. On the back you can see some nice grain from the alder body. The bass has a lot of small usermarks, but nothing significant that would be off for a used 55 year old bass. Overall there is some pretty finish checking. Te weight of this beauty is 4,2 kg without covers mounted. The original hardcase is included in the sale. Fixed lowered price: €7.250 I am located in the Netherland, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk and expense. Partial trades are welcome. Per example; mustang, music man Sabre... Also I am interested in Fender offset guitars (Jazzmaster, Jaguar..) or maybe a nice stratocaster. And maybe a good bass head (Gallien-Krueger RB series, Ampeg V4(b), ashdown ctm100)..
  3. Yamaha PB1 preamp Highly regarded Yamaha PB1 bass preamp from the 80s. The preamp is in used but good functioning condition. It has a lot of tonal options + the crossover function for bi-amp use. €250 I am located in the Netherlands, but could ship at buyers risk and expense.
  4. Hi There. I've got a Glockenklang Quattro 4 Ohms (with tweeter) that I suspect has been rewired to 16 Ohms. Reading on my multimeter is 11.7 ohms (200 setting on multimeter). I also managed to make this crappy pick inside from the backplate. As there are wires between te speakers, I suspect it indeed has been rewired? It would make sense though given the head I got the cab with. Thanks
  5. Picked up this Ampeg B25B a few days ago. It sounds ridiculously good and plenty loud.... Will have it checked by a tech, and will be my main amp once serviced I also still have the Bassman 135, but that will leave the building as I can't keep them all..
  6. Fender Pawnshop bass VI Very nice bass VI from the pawnshop series. This bass is very well built with a tight neck pocket fit. It sounds already great unplugged, and doesn't let you down once plugged in. The bass is in good used condition with only a few bumps/small usermarks. The frets are still good too. Of course all functions like it should. I don't have the tremolo arm, but these can be had easily from online shops. A simple Fender gigbag is included for shipping. Asking €1.100 The VI is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk.

  8. I've got a few basses up for sale right now. I'd also happily trade a combination of them for a good playing and sounding vintage Fender.. Also I'm still looking for different amps to try something new. Update: Peavey has sold

  11. I've only played 2 fender 5-ers that were really balanced sounding with a decent B-string. One was a precision deluxe with the humbucker in the bridge, the other one a cheap blacktop jazz... Further I've played a few 5 string jazzes, mex and USA. None of them had a really good B. One of the USA basses (I think it was a 99 or early 00s) was the most dead sounding bass I've played of any brand, no preamp or pickup change could save that one..
  12. Up for sale again: Yamaha RBX1000 Great high-end model from the RBX range. According to the serial explanation of Yamaha, this bass was made between 1986-1989. This RBX1000 is an active bass and has a 2eq preamp along with a vol and pan control. It is finished in a pretty trans black, which makes the (ash?) grain show through nicely. It's a pretty light bass, my kitchen scale sets it at 3,44 kilo's. So it's a comfortable bass to play for longer sets or rehears. Tonewise it's a versatile bass, and sounds serious. I like it especially with bass and treble boosted a lot for a deep thunderous modern sound. Cosmetically this bass is in "road worn" condition. It has a lot of scratches, dents and a few chips of paint missing... Technically the bass is all good. All electronics and hardware work like they should, the neck is straight and adjustable, the frets are still pretty good and allow low action. The bass has been set up with sadowsky strings. All in all this is a high quality, well used bass at a decent price. Low price €300. Don't wait for price drops, there won't be any ;). The bass is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship within the EU at buyers risk.
  13. Fantastic basses. I haven't played another bass that sounded like a Flea, so punchy and direct. And playability itself is great too. (I own a silver flake 97 and have owned a fiver).
