Original '65/'66 Jazz Bass body w/ tortoise pickguard!!! €2.850 - *SOLD* £2500 Netherlands

Original sunburst body that belonged to a bass that had the pots dated to week 4 of 1966. So it's either from early '66 or late '65.

 

 

The body has a lot of scratches, small damages and some bigger bumps and dents. The finish has gotten textured (maybe due to chemical reaction from being stored away for a long time?), and also has fine checking.

 

There is an original tortoise pickguard included. This guard still has the mint green layer on the back, so should be '65 at its latest as they were phased out by then. The guard has a missing tip and another crack.

 

Also the original shielding plates are included.

Screws are included also, which are modern Fender aged replacements.

 

Asking: €2.850

 

The body is located in the Netherlands. Pickup is preferred, but I am willing to ship at buyers risk.

PS: I also have other '65/'66 parts, like lollipop tuners, a loaded control plate and grey bottom pickups. The parts origin from 2 different basses that were finished in early '66.

Trades or partial trades are welcome too. I am looking for a Musicman Sabre or stingray (lacquered neck preferred) or 5 string with slightly tighter stringspacing (like Ibanez atk), passive shortscale like mustang bass, or maybe a decent electric guitar.
