  1. Well, that did the rounds, as my “mediator” said he had seen confirmation that it had been shipped to me!
  2. Incidentally, your tracking number wasn't PN518894078GB, was it?
  3. Nice one - the evidence is building...
  4. I've just had a message from one of his band members:
  5. Well, well; that confirms a number of things. I don’t suppose that he’s twigged that the story that you should trust him because he took the fall for the friend means that a. he lied in court (ie. committed perjury) and b. perverted the course of justice (by allowing the real perpetrator to go free). Your info could come in handy, if needed. Oh, and impersonating a solicitor is an offence too.
  6. Looks like that latest FB addition is still there. https://www.facebook.com/andybones91/posts/10164500636355004
  7. Crikey - he's just messaged me to say he's got his money back! Also, his post was removed from the FB group the above forwarded to; curiously, my warning there was too...
  8. I don't think that we should be too quick to contribute our money to cover off the scammer, unless/until it is apparent that he has got to the point where he absolutely cannot refund. However, should that point be reached, I would gladly chip in too; it passed the point of being about the money when he started insulting me, trying to intimidate me, saying he would come to my house, threatening me, posting sarky comments on my FB content, trying to control me, and all the other guff.
  9. I've just made contact with Andy, who is going to be joining here.
  10. This will make you laugh - Jason suggested I should apologise.
  11. I've just been chatting to my mate, who's a lawyer too (really!).
  12. The thing is, I first contacted Jason when he went off on one accusing me of being a paedophile, of which I have a screenshot.
  13. This is the tail-end of the conversation with the intermediary:
  14. As I say, I've only posted what is true, based on the information from the seller at the time.
  15. I've now received a message via the intermediary.
  16. I have updated my posts in this thread to include the following: I have no interest in posting content which is untrue and have endeavoured to correct anything herein to match that updated information.
  17. Well, well, well; I have received my refund!!! The person who mediated says that he has seen the proof of postage; though I haven't; however, I've no reason to doubt his word. In light of that, my comments about the seller posting it to himself appear to be factually incorrect, though I am still perplexed as to why I wasn't and still haven't been directly given that information. I think it may be appropriate now to take down this thread, but before doing so, I would like to thanks the folks here for their support; I am sure that it wouldn't have happened without your help.
  18. Well, not exactly unexpectedly, yesterday's promised repayment didn't happen. Forwards and onwards...
  19. Yes - that was kindof my point...
  20. Don't forget your bass, strap, signal lead, plectrum, and all other essentials too! Oh, and the mains cable...
  21. It's not specifically about the money for me, but the act of getting it back would be a small victory. I would certainly not expect the folks here to club together for that amount, though it is an incredibly generous gesture and says much for the spirit of this community. I know that the posts here have certainly raised the profile of the issue and caused certain ructions (not least because the band site has a link to a thread on a neighbouring site).
  22. "Proof" of postage, not proof of delivery (or attempted delivery); he confirmed that the item was returned to him.
