    Convince me TO or TO NOT grab a 5 string kit bass to help me while away the lock down hours and my reduced working week to end up with a pointless bass with no resale value. Go on, convince me!

      You definitely need to get that 5-string kit.

      You can then chuck more money at it by buying up-market hardware to fit to it: Babicz bridge, Aguilar pickups, John East preamp, Schaller machines.

      And a custom paint job, maybe from a local car spray shop.

      Plus you'll need a decent set of strings, maybe Neons or something.

    the bass tone on "Queen - Keep Yourself Alive" is this weeks addiction.  The low notes either with lovely valve breakup or a small speaker at its limits.  Lovely!

    Currently waiting for Tesco to open (as they’re no longer 24/7 🙄). Arrived early to avoid most of the mouth breathers. Let’s see how this goes. I just wanna do a normal shop FFS!

      Well, I went to Sainsburys today and got everything I wanted except a packet of Paracetamol (there was a queue at the pharmacy).

      There were people carrying a basket and a big pack of loo rolls and I saw one person carrying 3 packs of loo rolls.

      Me, I'm having a fish pie this evening.

      I think it's a good move limiting things to 3 of an item.

      Mind you, if I wanted 6 of something, I'd just go out of one store and back in again, or on to another.

      I'll be wanting a loaf of bread tomorrow or the day after.

      I’ve just been to my Sainsburys; there were people carrying 24 packs of loo rolls and someone had 3 of them. 
      Pasta-wise, there was chilled pasta, which is nicer anyway.

      Sainsburys are limiting shoppers to 3  grocery items and two loo roll/soap/UHT.

      I'll be popping across to get a couple of bits sometime during the day...

    So, the ever present question: Do I sell all these bits of kit that I don't actually use anymore, or keep them on the off chance that a band (job) might require them in the future. I could do with the cash frankly, but the value of the kit could mean that if I buy again in the future, I could end up paying more in the long run. Hmmmmmm

    I've never ever had a bass amp.

      It's a tidgey class-D amp designed to be lightweight and portable; suitable for practice or small venues.

      The old/mainstream/vintage TE kit was big and bold, size & weight no issue; there always seemed to be a bigger one available if you needed to upsize!
