Got bored in the studio so decided to have a bit of fun!
crez5150 replied to JakeBrownBass's topic in Recording
Don't know but it's very similar..... No worries.... but that Logo is what we use on all our advertising and web related stuff so don't really want to confuse the issue with other bands..... There are other band's called Hot Sauce anyway. Is your function band called Hot Sauce too? Jay -
I figured out the patch for "I Feel Love" over the weekend. Basically I used a square wave LFO to control the volume using Guitar Rig Kontrol on my laptop. However for me to replicate the same setup with my MPXG2, I need a tone generator. While I could look at the offerings including the EHX Micro Synth and Chunk Octavius Squeezer, however I'm also mindful that my trusty Deep Impact pedal is lying in a drawer after one too many repairs to tracks on the PCB around the power socket. I was always fond of this pedal and I'd love to get it up and running again but last time I looked, Akai weren't doing any repairs or offering parts. I did also approach the distributors in the UK before I left and they couldn't help either. Could anyone please advise whether this situation has changed in the last 2 years?
None as yet..... How much do you want for the dodgy SB-1 ?

I have the 800. Been testing for couple of months... It's all good, though I have no real need for anything above the 500. Had the 500 for nearly two years now and it's faultless!!!
Didn't say I agree, my post further up says it takes my bands less than an hour, I merely pointed out that I thought Crez's response was a bit brusque
The way it read to me was that they weren't known to the B&G as they had to stop as they were delaying the cutting of the cake.... sounds as if they were on a paid job... As said even if it was friends, I would think that you would want to give the best impression regardless of if you know them or not...
Tadge harsh? he never said he was a function band, just that he'd played a wedding.
True.... but I'm sure the bride and groom wouldn't be impressed let alone any potential bookings from people there... It's another part of what wedding/function bands do that pub bands generally don't
We did a wedding last night and it took us 3 hours to set up and even then we still were not ready. So why does it take us so long? Here is the set-up: 3 x mic > desk 2 x guitar > pedal board > amp > desk 1 x bass > pedal board > desk 1 x kick drum mic > desk 1 x drum pad > desk 2 x desk main out > power amp > pa bass bin > pa top 1 x desk monitor out > wedge > IEM transmitter > light controller Is it too complicated? I have a feeling we suffer from too many egos and not enough Indians and there is a large amount of faffing about. I think the speakers got moved and re-arranged 3 times + the lights wouldn't work via the sound chaser so they were just on a normal programme. We had to just stop in the end as we were delaying the cutting of the cake! All was well in the end but it wasn't a relaxing experience, that is for sure. I don't currently use any back line as I am fully IEM. I am thinking it would be more efficient to ditch the idea of controlling the sound through the desk and just use the PA for vocals. The rest can be done from back line. Would that mean we are set up in less time? How long would it take you? Is there any tips? Do you have set jobs and responsibilities? Any help appreciated.
Massive fail! Any wedding function band worth their salt knows this.
It's quite interesting the way that he has a custom bass and is actually a decent player. The first one i thought was just the sort of playing that has put me off from going to bass day ever again. I thought the second one fitted in a lot better with the music which is good.
Really...... the timing is all over the place.... unless its just not synced up right on Utoob

This is the usual if you're normally playing in these venues.....

1980's 5 string - were they common/about at this time?
crez5150 replied to Wilco's topic in Bass Guitars
There were definitely some from Aria mid to late 80's..... Had some in the music shop I worked in back then.... One of them even had a tremolo unit.... Sure I have some catalogues somewhere -
Damn faulty '9' on the keypad.......

Where can I get my Super fly amp repaired?
crez5150 replied to The Dark Lord's topic in Repairs and Technical
You can pick 2nd hand ones up for around £100..... probably easier to do that and just as cheap. I've retired my one as a pre-amp in the studio.... works quite well -
Cheap bass, cheap camera, bunch of 12-year-olds
There has been bit of "Guy Pratt bashing" on here in the past, but I like him. does that make me a bad person? (crez?)
Indeed... In my experience he lives up to his name! I'd have thought Norm could have gotten someone with a bit more groove to be honest. -
Sounds fab..... I'll be downloading this later. Good luck with it!

I reckon it's because BassChat wasn't around then to give him GAS...........
-
Really? I think the stuff that he's recorded on sounds great but any of the live youtube stuff sounds bloody naff..... just sounds like a one of those music shop slappers everyone always goes on about on here

28 seconds for me..... then I had to go listen to some Kenny G.
