Welcome to the club. The price is good It might need a setup, but you can teach yourself to do that by following a YT video. It possibly could do with new strings, but perhaps not.

My bass loves those keys with open strings in them.

Bargainous. I was very happy with my 4x10. Then I was very happy with my 3x10. Twice. I imagine I would be extraordinarily happy with a 6x10.

It is certainly an issue with some pickups when faced with lots of gain.

Pickups need potting? Dipping in wax to stop the coils getting jiggy with themselves and squealing.

It is a shame, because I would totally have bought one.

Owen no longer has a problem with his neck. Owen's only problem is with what colour his P bass with an L1000 pickup is going to be. Owen quite fancies a plain oiled body like a stripped pre CBS but is worried about a tort guard just not getting that old tort guard look. He could also go for reliced Oly white with a white plate which would be much easier to make work aesthetically but also much more expensive.

There is no denying it.
