  1. Same, usually I can't stand blue or red basses but every now and then I see a nice burst or stained finish and make an exception.
  2. Yeah that's a cheapy, think Karl is right with Benson. The burst looks pretty naff to me, if you wanted a quality bass with that finish then Mighty Mite do a much nicer version which will be better quality. On sale now too! https://www.byoguitar.com/Guitars/Mighty-Mite-Fender-Replacement-P-Bass-Body__MM2702AF.aspx
  3. The more I look at it the funnier it gets, there's literally nothing good about it! Don't know if those banjo tuners are worth anything but aside from those it's firewood. £95 posted too, you can buy a proper one for that.
  4. Does it have a map of the Pennines on the top so you can plan your Sunday hiking during the quieter numbers?
  5. But he has 100% feedback so it must be great and not a total ripoff, right?
  6. True, it appears it's already taken by a much more successful drummer too: https://rikkistyxxdrums.com Very awkward indeed.
  7. That would be great, I'll shoot you a pm.
  8. Ashdown Mag 300 2x10 combo in Scotland (Penicuik) here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BassPlayersMarketUK/permalink/2856123461065930/?sale_post_id=2856123461065930 £80, I'd get on if if I were you! Has a speaker out so you could have a massive rig for not much money.
  9. Ah so it's his friend who cuts the nut slots? This is all falling to place now!
  10. How much would this be including shipping, unless you're down by the Fylde coast much?
  11. That looks like a belting little setup.
  12. Yeah they're the recommended first in ear on this forum! Can handle a lot of low end, I use them live now but I bought a second set for my little mixer at home. They do come with different rubber bits, I use the largest ones (I'm 6'6" with proportionately large ears!) and they're fine. I think the generic rubber ear inserts you can get fit too.
  13. KZ Official Store on AliExpress have the ZS10 at £22 delivered if anybody was wanting in ears or just some earphones which sound great for silent bass practice: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32859161944.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.7b573c00ceAOCn&mp=1 Ordered a second set to use at home when learning songs.
  14. Mine is the dedicated bass version and it's actually pretty loud and clear for what it is, I'm running it into an little EA CXL110 with a Basslite in, I was really surprised when I first plugged it in! Assumed these would just have the same guts with a different EQ section but perhaps not. Thinking of buying a cheap "proper" amp like a TC RH250 or something in the not too distant future.
  15. Gah they had the Sire M2 I've been looking at but 4 string only, someone got a great bass for £200.
  16. Just checked, coach aint that cheap (about £75) and the hours are horrendous!
  17. Have a look into Family Railcard for £30 if you want to make a day of it with kids/grandkids. Mrs Lemmywinks shaved £195 off a £300 ticket for her and Lemmywinks Jnr. Also worth looking into National Express coaches, probably at least half the cost of a train.
  18. What is it with relic'd new necks that they always look like someone has unblocked a toilet with them?
  19. Yes still very much usable and will be a much needed stopgap hopefully. My first gig with it coincided with our guitarist making up stereo cables for everyone (based on your recommendation in the in ear thread) so having direct control was incredibly useful. After postage and buying a replacement screen protector it came to about £29 in total, finally got to use the lightning cables I bought in error months ago too!
  20. Yeah I read that, shape still looks a little off to me. Like I said I don't know much about Fenders though.
  21. Saw that the other day, thought the headstock looked a little off at first. Might just be my eyes or the angle but the bump beneath the Fender logo seems to protrude more than it should, doesn't flow like a Tele headstock should to me and looks like it's been chopped down from a full size headstock. Here's the seller's: Here's a Google image: Might just be imagining it though, I don't really know much about Fenders!
  22. Ok used this last night, worked fine for adjusting my monitor mix and moving the faders was lag free. Was a bit of delay when swiping across the faders to access higher ones but it was usable. Came in really handy as I had a stereo monitor mix for the first time and got it sounding crystal clear really quickly.
  23. Does this mean our OBBM cables are now rare collectors items?
  24. Just noticed it had a screen protector on and the crack didn't look deep, removed it and the screen is fine underneath so I'll probably whack it up for sale and double my money. Every cloud and all!
  25. It's the same spec as an iPad 2 so I'm not holding out much hope! The monitor mix I have at the moment is largely fine, it's mainly just for having the ability to turn down certain things if they become fatiguing like the snare and guitar, things I could move away from when I used a monitor but am kind of trapped with using in ears. I want it to be accessible quickly which is why I don't want to rely on someone else to do it, will see how it goes anyway.
