1.
I wouldn't file the nut unless there's a huge gap between the fingerboard and the strings, it shouldn't be too far out.
I would, because the string doesnt have to clear the frets. If you lower the fret slots, you will get a lower action and easier playability.
2. There is nothing wrong with a BBOT bridge IMO.
3. MIM = Mexicans in Mexico MIA =Mexicans in America.
4. The only thing wrong with that is,you forgot about the fake baked beans being knocked up in someones shed and sold as Heinz.

7.
And from what I can see these days Alan Lancaster appears to favour a Travis Bean bass...
And look where he is now,eh.
8. They were good enough for that guy from Weather Report, and they were good enough for the guy from Status Quo.
9. It may be that the pickup is bust. You may want to put a request in the wanted section for one,i also remember seeing one of Bass Doc's for sale threads with a similar looking pickup advertised,so it might be worthwhile giving him a PM.
10. Sorry, but that bass just makes my flesh creep. I would also suggest early 70's as a date,POSSIBLY late 60's,but going off memory i doubt it.
11. I used to have only vintage gear, amps as well as basses and guitars, but since the prices of even the dodgiest looking gear has rocketed,i dont anymore. Sure id love another 60's Fender, and i think that i could easily have spotted a fake when i had vintage gear, but nowadays who knows what you are buying.I also agree that there seem to be far more vintage fenders about than ever, especially custom colour ones. What happened to all the 70's ones where you could get a coin between the neck and the body ?I remember having a problem giving a 70's Fender Musicmaster bass away for free.
12. 1 Precision +1 pickup,2 knobs,1 scratchplate,1 x3 way switch =$6k = the pi55 has been taken.
13. Its the same as if the rod adjustment was at the headstock.Same rod, same adjustment, just flipped.

17. If you are planning on doing a lot of painting, then it will probably be worth it,depending on what nozzles it comes with,or you can get for it.You will spend a lot of time cleaning it.
