1. I work in PMT in Brum... behind the scenes!!! I also worked in Exchanges and helped with the building and painting work when it expanded into the cellar area. Great memories
2. The music company I work for use Interlink and dpd to ship our stuff. Don't usually have any problems, apart from oversized/overweight stuff.
3. Mine came with 45-105's
4. Alien Ant Farm's bass player custom shop jobbie!!!
5. Get a headphone amp, like the Vox Amplug, and noodle away to your heart's content....
6. My experience from my violin days.. If you look like a dandruff victim, you're using too much!!!
7. Looks like a swimming pool.....
8. Have a look at the Ibanez SR300. About £250 new. Sound and feel great. Good for metal too.
9. If you use your TB, find out what the ohmage of the cab is and use the switch on the head!!!
10. First thoughts, maybe a Silvertone... Can't see anything exactly like it though. Any idea of speaker configuration or mains voltage?
11.
no mate, I'm in grey widow. This was our backline for our 2014 tour. Our september 2015 tour will be worse hahaha.
Was the carnage after you turned it on...............
12. Looks like Westone Pantera.
13. The preamp comes with 12AX7 which give the valve grunt and the hot DI problem on the earlier models. I've changed mine to 12AT7's, which calm things down a bit. You can get around the hot DI with an inline attenuator, or DI box with some form of DB reduction.
14. It was probably easier, and maybe cheaper to get Jaydee to build this bass at the time than to get a new lefty Musicman. I got him to make me a Warwick Thumb clone, to my specs for about half of what a lefty Warwick NT Thumb would have cost me.
15. Try moving the neck pickup closer to the E string one turn at a time by loosening the screws
16. Come into PMT Brum, Monday-Friday, ask for Nigel. I'll sort one out for you.
17. Epiphone do a fitted case for a Thunderbird. Can't remember the price, but they are available. You are correct in saying most standard cases won't fit.
