  1. Hi. In no particular order....(brain dump) Sounds are obviously identical. Addition of headphone output and master volume is Awesome! loving the colour screen, all the info in one place! and color represents block type so its easier to see at a glance what the blocks are doing. on the HXFX there's a lot of info, but its all spread around, and in B+W. moving blocks around the chain is harder, and unnecessarily so as there's plenty of knobs. You have to use Cut/paste the knobs seem to respond better. i love that it shows the midi PC on the preset selection screen. this makes it so easy if your using a midi controller. love the form factor Its TINY!!!! i wish they had put the screen on the RHS as i tend to play notes with my right hand and change parameters with the left. doing this mostly covers the screen with my hand. still, better than the HXFX i will miss ability to turn off more than 3 pedals on the HXFX addition of HPF and LPF in the global is awesome!!! HXFX doesn't have this copying blocks to another patch is easier on the stomp ill come and edit this post if i think of any more differences
  2. bass - spectracomp - ES8 - amp Each other pedal is in one of the ES8s loops. so the chain can be whatever i want it to be for each preset
  3. The BEF is just sat in the volume loop at the moment, i have a feeling it may well be coming off the board now i have the Mutron. we will see.... There's no problem having it there if you have a spare loop
  4. Major update. Stomp replaces Hxfx and the Es8 is back. I missed the loops
  5. please check this... but i'm pretty sure la bella deep talkin flats are not tapered.
  6. I'll be unboxing my stomp later today Bring it on!!
  7. We should start a thread to discuss the type of helix thread we would find most useful. "if you could only choose one Helix thread"
  8. Mine arived today pedalboard rebuild tomorrow!
  9. I'm 90% sure you can set the mixer to 0 or - 4db I'd have to check those values tho. There is no volume controll as such.
  10. erm.... actually they are Aluminium... The kind that's pronounced Alu-MIN-ium.
  11. I got 50% off a set of pans in John lewis this morning
  12. Greetings pedal lovers, Up for grabs today is the supremely powerful Line6 HXFX, purchased new by me at the end of July. Its been tested at home, never gigged or used in anger, as such its still in MINT condition.... But i did take the feet off and put some high quality velcro on the underside. comes with original box and power adaptor. basically as new. Its updated to the latest 2.6 firmware which adds a lot of bass related goodies! I'm sure by now you know what its capable of, but if there's any questions please let me know. Collection is free from shoreham, or add £15 for insured shipping to your letterbox. Thanks for watching!
  13. I read this thread topic as Ear-Thing ...as you were.
  14. So far i've only really got to grips with the Saturation side of the pedal. I use it as a low-medium gain saturation which sounds excellent going into modulation in the HX and also before filters as it gives the filter a fatter sound to chew on. I also quite like what it does to a really hot synth signal, as it seems to compress and add punch whilst taking away some of the brittle highs.

    Sold..

    way ahead of you peter!
  16. Anybody else considerd the hxfx and a stomp. That would be one versatile setup! As the fx has all the controll capablity, and the stomp has amps. Effects can be shared between the 2 units. Might be just a brain fart, but seems to make sense to me...
  17. Fantastic chorus. GLWTS!
  18. You won't be disappointed!
  19. But only 6 blocks!!!!!!!!! I regularly use more than that on my hxfx
  20. I got my first loop switcher a few years ago. A joyo pfl live I think its called. It was an absolute game changer for me. I mean it was a pain to program, but much simpler to fun a board live. I upgraded to the es8 shortly after as once I got my head around switching, the es8 has soo much to offer. The parallel loops, midi pc and cc. Changing the order of pedals, pc patch editor.... The list goes on. They are phenomenal bits of kit!
  21. Stuart Zender. he is mentioned in the clip as the current owner of the bass you "recognised"
  22. how? are you SZ?
  23. Nope. The hx effects has an EBS octave emulation in it. Has excellent tracking and a lovely growl to it. I do so times miss my Octamizer tho, although that was used for a slightly different purpose.
