1.
the roland quad capture, its a about the same price as the tc, but the preamps are far superior in opinion my and the latency is the lowest i have ever had on a usb interface, there are also onboard dynamics and samplerates support up to 24bit/192kHz also with usb 3 getting more support a lot of companies are begining to phase out firewire
Big +1 for this unit, although i am running mine on W7 x64 The latency is very low, and the drivers are real stable. Also the onboard dynamics features are pretty good to. Very much well worth the money.
 2. Go to the Sadowsky workshop, if Roger is around he will make you feel most welcome, especially if he see's your debit or credit card. Manhattan is great, although as said above, compared to other parts of the States, not cheap. Garry
 3. I did a touring production through Europe with Godspell, some great tunes in the show. Not a real hard sight read, but an awful lot of transcribing. [getting paid i hope] Garry
 4.
since you haven't done anything interesting recently, now that you've won this award you should f*** off and die
That's the problem - they don't. It's comeback tours by the skip load. Garry
 5.
since starting on DB, my gigs have gone down by about 75% so the 'DB will get you more gigs' argument is not as robust as one would like to think
Possible you are in the wrong game then. Try something else, maybe writing books..... Good luck with the book Rob. Garry
 6.
The creativity is in the chord changes, syncopation, form, arrangement........the list can go on.
This for me as well. Garry
 7.
Id rather kiss a tramps arse!
Here you go, take your pick. Garry
 8. Playing with velocities, and moving notes[hits] to either side of the grid line [not bang on] along with 'thinking' how a drummer would play the part goes along way to getting very usable Drum tracks. The EZdrummer midi files do this along with a lot of the stuff out there these days. Garry
 9. I have done this show a few times, every where from the West End to Tokyo, Its a real blast to play on Bass. It's not that taxing, an easy [sight] read and as someone above said, If its a good band, its a real groove. Enjoy. Garry
 10.
Just as an addendum to my last post, here's the first 30 pages of the Bert Ligon book for your perusal. http://www.scribd.co...inear-Harmony-1
After viewing that. I had to buy... 12. Yep, great stuff. Have been listening to DF's Night Fly album the last couple of days, and that is one of my Magic moment CD's. Garry
 13.
The Samuel Adler is a brilliant book
This really is a classic, very detailed but so easy to follow. Garry
 14.
Maynard Ferguson's Solo at the beginning of Gospel John
That is great. The Piano playing and composing skills of Dave Grusin ... The opening section of 'On Golden Pond' such a moving bit of music. Garry
 15. The opening bars of the World at War Series.... And for some pathetic reason 'Miles' first couple of bars on this. Garry
 16. I cut mine down to only Two. [Well three, Charlie Parker Omni book in Bass clef] Mark Levine & Samual Adler. The Samual Adler book is ongoing for me. Mark Levine book i poke into every now and then. I seem to get more out of transcribing these days. Garry
 17. As a freelancer, for me my essentials are.... Volume pedal, Sans Amp DI, Tuner. I have the rest, Chorus, Octave pedal etc. But will only take or use them if i know they are [really] needed. I keep it lean and clean and as less fussy as i can, mainly because its then a hassle free time with the engineer. Garry
 18. 'Magic' Musical moments in pop history - I was talking to someone yesterday about that very thing. Something magical to ones self is not always magical to others. I think that chord unites everyone and goes down in Music folk law. Would be interesting to see what other 'moments' people on this forum can come up with. Garry
 19.
3 plus the producer....simples
It seems to have turned into anything but simple over the years... Garry
 20.
So, now we know. Its G, C F A and D. In theoretical terms its a voicing of a F6/9 chord (F, G, A, C and D = i, III, V, VI & II (IX)). Paul played the D, which is the relative minor.
So its a case of how many Beatles does it take to play a Jazz chord [D Minor7 add 11] ? Garry

 24.
I always get mine form the same eBay store - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Babz-Media/DURACELL-PROCELL-BATTERIES-/ £7.49 for 10 Duracell Procells. More you buy cheaper they are as well. I've been using them for all batteries for about 18 months now. Generally arrive within 2 days, often next day and usually free delivery too!
Thanks for the link, going to order some stuff later. It also looks a handy place to get tools for the Cat Burglar business. Garry
 25.
60's boyband. No big deal.
A popular beat combo i believe , M'lud. Or is just urban myth, M'lud. Garry
