On the Conductors head - No reason other than it's fun. But not being speedily mobile, I am usually last in the queue. Hat side if possible [Unless the Drummer is a south paw] Garry

That ain't high for me - more like a low action... Garry
Stevie Wonder on harmonica - instantly recognisable.
Yes of course - also on many films from the 60/70/80's Toots Thielemans is always lurking On some Music cue. Garry

Apart from the many Bass players, David Sanborn and Dave Grusin for me, George Benson as well. Grusin for his notes and style, and Sanborn for his sound and old school R&B licks. Garry
Yes that's probably what it was called, I'm talking about early 1990s, I remember it was out of town on the way up East I think. Used to go & watch big screen sports at weekends with platters of burgers & ice cold beers, it was a hard job I've got some old maps & stuff I'll dig out. Have you been there?
If it is the same place [and it does sound like it] Yes in 1992. Garry
Dirty Reid's cafe
Is that the same place as the Old Durty Reid's Palace ? I think it got knocked down, or something rebuilt there. Sounds like fun with the sharks though. Garry

Just a heads up for any one Interested. Had and Email from a very good Guitarist friend of mine who lives down in Brighton. I have done many many gigs and sessions with him over the years - and he is superb and well worth a listen. His new band has Guy on Bass - so if you are local get yourself down there if you fancy a good night. "Hi Everyone, A couple of things to announce on this occasion. First off, the Seaford Allstars will be performing at The Boot in Seaford on the last Friday, 27[sup]th[/sup], of July We have had a total revamp and now have some fresh blood in the band. Guy also played with Michael Jackson, and played on “The Earth Song” as well as Madonnas “Like A Prayer”. We also have a new vocalist Owen Vyse that gives the band new male rocky edge! So we hope to see you all on July 27[sup]th[/sup]. www.thedisorder.co.uk Very much looing forward to catching up with you all soon. Andy " Garry
Stravinsky was a big fan, plus everyone and anyone who came after him and took great influence from him. Leonard Bernstein, John Williams spring to mind.
Dominant 7th chord, minor 7th b5 chord, 7th b9 chord, and others. You hear these intervals all the time these days, well in Jazz and Cinematic film scores based on the big Symphony Orchestras, and of course wrong notes in Pub Rock Bands... Garry

Another vote for "Four Corners", great stuff. And of course you can't leave out the very first album "YellowJackets" Garry

Thanks for the link Laimis, good stuff. Garry

Dean Markley Mistfits [Skullbusters] 46/66/86/106/135 on my fretted and fretless. Although i have a high tight action they still sing out well, and they are still good on the old slap thing when needed. Garry
Walk on the wild side has a memorable "Walking" bassline?
Made me laugh to - Although it has a funky swing vibe about it, top stuff. Garry

Fever, including some of the other versions. Even played solo, just about everyone in the universe knows what it is, apart from Anna Conrad of course. To many for me to list. Garry

iLok account is just for storing licenses - nothing more or nothing less. From a $20.00 plug in to $2000.00 top end Orchestral sample library. You can transfer licenses between accounts, insure your software against theft or loss. Garry
Also, if you're running your DAW on a laptop and need USB sockets then you could always get a hub - cheap as chips.
Yep, Hubs work fine for keys/dongles but not so good [sometimes] for running Audio interfaces. Garry

I have a Steinberg/Syncrosoft key for Nuendo 5.5 and an iLok account for a lot of other stuff. Both will take many licenses. [iLok over five hundred i think] If you run your DAW from a Laptop, i can understand some folk having a moan about using two USB ports for keys/dongles, but on a desktop with eight USB ports it's not a problem. Also with Steinberg/Syncrosoft you can transfer your licenses. Garry
