  1. I have been so. But thinking running two extra mics.
  2. I wondered if it's possible to run two interfaces into a DAW and use them simultaneously. I'm thinking 2x Focusrite scarlet 2i2. One for high output pick ups and other for microphones eg. mic up amp or overheads. I use Ableton live DAW with Windows 10. Internet search mainly shows Mac. Thanks in advance.
  3. Wow Great turn out. I'll vote later. Will listen through my new edphones. Voted. I'm very impressed with the sound quality, mixing/mastering skills of one if the songs I voted for.
  4. My composition is not progressing. After recording multiple guitar tracks for Street Fighting Man cover, the project is still missing bass, drums and miscellaneous sounds. I might sick ut in noodle bar if that is still going. Have listened to the other tracks and hoping to see more added.
  5. Amplitube 4 offers enough to tweak a decent bass sound. You can always try their amps for free for a trial period.
  6. I phoned PMT to place an order. Because I don't have an account with them they wouldn't take an order over the phone and suggested that I do it online.
  7. as Ricky is too big for me.. Why it had to go? ......
  8. because the frets are worn away. Suddenly........

  10. Tempting offer as always fancied an accoustic bass but for time being please donate to worthy cause. After all it's Christmas.
  11. Corkers Simply Sea salt Crisps
  12. Fender rumble 500w under £500. Surely you can pick uo a secind hand cheaper.I don't gig but if I had your budget I'd keep the basses provided you're happy with them. Have them set up, maybe re string. Someone mentioned multi effects. For a bass? Why? I'd get a DI pedal. I occasionally use Hartke DI pedal or TC spectracomp pedal. Both give that extra umph if needed. Have you checked out the market in BC?
  13. I use both flats and rounds. Rounds and flats on my jazzes and flats on my p basses. Purely as I'm a Maiden fan. Flats feel good when played and as far as I'm converted they help to achieve that typical p bass sound. Rounds on my jazz sound more growly. I found however that flats lose the brightness quicker.
  14. I use Steve Harris signature flats and Fender flats. Happy with both.
  15. Bought a second hand Squier p bass for £30. Replaced tuners, electronics, installed high mass bridge and spb1. Resprayed it and put a new pickguard on. With flats it sounds great. Don't do bad purchase.
  16. Agreed. I treat myself as I hate to think about some of the "gifts" I get. I just saw a neighbour I've never spoken to putting a x mass cards through the letter box. Well, I won't be getting you one surely!

  20. I was going to cover The Street Fighting Man. Spend hours on it recording guitars. 6 layers of guitar riff but now fed up with it.
  21. Agreed. i recently put these on my p bass . They sound just the way I want them to sound. They're great for the price with plenty of mids.
  22. The Street Fighting Man by Rolling Stones
  23. Well. I picked a song without knowing how many covers there are. I can't sing though. I might knock it on the head as family/ work commitments won't allow me to enter. Besides all my recording stuff needs setting up from box whenever I want to record which is time consuming.
  24. What's on your Christmas list this year? I'd like to upgrade to Ableton live 10 standard suite and replace my 2i2 focusrite with 2i4 2nd generation. These would make my recordings easier to produce and more efficient. Perhaps a cheeky mic, maybe SM58.
