  1. Already insanely overpriced. 🤦‍♂️
  2. Saw him a few times including the different Protocol tours... Amazing drummer for sure. Have a free bump on me.
  3. Thanks for the review in that strange language @ped . The case is an Ibanez case from the same period that will perfectly fit my 1987 Ibanez SR 1000 CT-1. I'll try to find an original or later Vigier soft case.
  4. This is my newly acquired Vigier Arpège Delta Metal Fretless from 1981 and bearing number 005. It weights 4.670 kilos, which is quite heavy for my broken back, but I will never sell it as it took me more than 20 years to find one in such a good condition... I bought it from the original owner who acquired it on the 2nd of September 1981 for 6417 French Francs, so the equivalent of todays 2806 Euros, but the official retailing price was 7130 French Francs, so the equivalent of todays 3118 Euros. I received the original invoice, the original user manual in French and the rare charger as these basses were intended to be used with 2 rechargeable 9 Volts batteries, way back in 1981! For those not aware of these Delta Metal fretless basses, the fingerboard is made out of a brass alloy consisting of copper (55%), zinc (41-43%) and iron (1-3%), with the balance consisting of various other metals, called ... Delta Metal and these very early fretless models had factory lines as well as a truss rod! So better photos to come next week... And with all the papers.
  5. Photos are back...
  6. Dunlop for me too, I had the same on a bass, but the tension was awfully high... https://www.jimdunlop.com/stainless-steel-flatwound-bass-strings-45-105/
  7. Selling this for that is a mistake, says the guy who sold his own Peavey TL-Six first generation last week...
  8. €250 EUR: FAUXDERA Yin Yang Fretless, Chinese copy of the butterfly brand, with lots of cosmetic flaws, but very well set up and very easy to play. NO TRADES! NON NEGOTIABLE PRICE ! Asking price including shipping fully insured with tracking number to your place in these European countries (ask for other countries) : Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (excluding French overseas departments and territories), Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden : €250 Euros (£225 GBP is an approximation and I will only accept payment in Euros) !!! Shipping to United Kingdom is, of course, possible, but with an extra customs fee (VAT + other taxes + courier fee), because U.K. is now outside EEC. In perfect working condition and very easy to play, but it is a Chinese copy with all the faults that go with it. Here are the specifications : Body: 2 pieces of ash with two very thin maple and walnut veneers for the Yang and thick wenge for the Ying Neck: bolt-on in 1 piece of maple with a "catch-up" on the side at the heel Fingerboard: wenge Fretless: 24 positions, now, correctly marked, with round mark symbolizing the Yang at the end of the fingerboard Headstock: 2 + 2 Yin (wenge) Yang (maple of the neck) Pickups: Fauxdera fake EMG PJ kit totally passive (J in 60's position and black round Ying between it and the bridge) Controls: volume, blend, active/passive switch, bass and treble Preamp: Fauxdera Tuning Machines: Fauxdera Bridge: Fauxdera Strings spacing at bridge: 19mm Nut: Fauxdera Genuine plastic Strings spacing at nut: 10mm Knobs: Fauxdera metal snap-on Scale: 34 inches Hardware colour: black Truss rod: one, double action, 100% functional Finish: very thick transparent varnish Country of origin: China Serial number: N.A. Year: 2020 Weight: 4,470 kg Action : from 1.5 mm under the G string to 2 mm under the E string at 12th position (can even go lower, but was perfect for me) Will be delivered in its beautiful polystyrene box, like the fish at the auction. Non-smoking environment as usual. The bass has been fully set up professionally. It is fitted with a new set of Rotosound RS 66 LC steel strings (40 - 60 - 75 - 95) which sound very good on this fretless. This fretless sounds great with all the mwah you want, even with the stock Fauxdera pickups and electronics. The wood has moved before the very thick varnish was applied (it's Chinese) which tore the veneer that was varnished like that (so it won't move anymore), and the neck has some finishing flaws, but it is fully playable. I put, on the side of the neck, self-adhesive and fluorescent markers in the right places, which was not the case before (and I "erased" the old markers with an indelible black sharpie). What you see is what you get ! Look carefully at the photos taken from different angles and lights to see the real condition, which is used with knocks, scratches, marks and poor workmanship which are the Chinese signature for this kind of instrument. SOLD 250 EUROS AS IS, about half the price of a vaguely new imported Chinese one, so don't hesitate to ask for more information. Due to severe back problems (67% officially disabled because of it) plus right shoulder injury (non-operable capsulitis from which, after more than 4 years, I will never fully recover), I'm selling all my basses over 4 kilos and also the ones I'm not really using as well as some stuff I don't use. I've also considerably lowered the price for a quick sale.
  9. Thanks @TorVic for showing your Le Fay's. 😊
  10. Never show your private life on any social media. 😉
  11. Possible trade for a Leduc bass or other basses weighting less than 4.5 kilos, and fretless preferred !
  12. I've owned a few of these as well as first series and both John Patitucci models, and these TRB's are really amazing basses ! GLWYS.
  13. XLR impedance matching output. 😉
  14. Don't forget to copper shield the pickups cavities and star ground them too otherwise the shielding is totally useless...
  15. That said Russ, I'm not really sure I want to sell it as it's an amazing sounding bass ... it's just a tad too heavy for my broken back.
  16. Funny that he has a sixer signature model when he doesn't play sixers indeed... 😉
  17. Really rare 1989 PEAVEY TL-Six, the Tim Landers Signature, a true Custom Shop model ! POSSIBLE TRADE FOR A LEDUC BASS OR OTHER BASSES WEIGHTING LESS THAN 4.5 KILOS, AND FRETLESS PREFERRED ! NON NEGOTIABLE PRICE ! New price was around €2000 Euros back in the day, so 34 years ago... !!! Shipping to United Kingdom is, of course, possible, but with an extra customs fee (VAT + other taxes + courier fee), because U.K. is now outside EEC. It is fitted with a new set of Blacksmith ANW-32135-6-34 nickel-plated steel (Hexa Core) strings with proprietary AOT Nano Carbon Shield coating which prevents oxidation and dirt accumulation on the wound strings (32 - 45 - 65 - 85 - 105 - 135) that really serve the bass. What you see is what you get ! Look carefully at the photos taken under different angles and light to see the real condition, which is used with knocks, scratches and scars from 34 years of use. 18. Better put a nylon washer between your brass tuners and the aluminium bridge as brass will tear aluminium faster than you might think. 😉
  19. Following as I like the original idea which seems to be : Let it come to life and see what it will be...
  20. Don't bite the bullet. Ok, I'll have my coat.
  21. And don't forget the clever hum-cancelling system, so you'll keep the attack and definition of single coil pickups without the hum, à la Alembic or Leduc with their phantom coil. Good luck with your sale !
  22. It used to be mine indeed, and the guy selling it is the very one I sold it to in 2015 and I still clearly remember this very sympathetic deal as a friend had been commissioned by the buyer and traveled 500 kilometres round from Holland to my place in Belgium to buy it for him because he was very busy. Another real good Leduc, the half fret lines are original and where asked by the original owner (J-P C) who is a friend of mine. So the full history of this bass is known with "only" 3 owners.
