  1. Peavey Vypyr VIP III. Love it, had it 6-7 years now, at one point it was gigged - bass and guitar - pretty much twice a week for over a year. Loud enough for pub gigs on bass. I'm taking it to the SE Bass Bash if you are going, and want a try.
  2. That's almost 2 inches from what is claimed, which makes a big difference when we're talking about micro-heads. But apart from that... Haven't had chance to play above 'bedroom' levels, but I'm taking it to the SE Bass Bash tomorrow, and will be A/B'ing it with Lozz's Ashdown rig.
  3. Ashdown have lied to me!
  4. Nice 😎 it will be interesting to A/B it with my Rob Allen Mouse.
  5. My recommendation, the Digitech BP355 Often available for under Β£100. Bass and guitar amp models, but can also be used just for fx. Looper and drum machine. Easy to use, awesome bit of kit. Gigworthy sturdiness, mine has seen me through 3 bands.
  6. Rotosound I've had great customer service from Rotosound.
  7. "Hello Cleveland!" πŸ˜‚
  8. Wunjo Bass that London. I wanted to try a Peavey Vypyr VIP III, but they didn't have any in stock. Actually up to that point they'd never had any. Laurence said to me they would order one, I could try it, and if I didn't like it no worries because it's a cool thing to have in the shop. I did like it, they price matched and free delivery I've bought other stuff - multi fx; comfort strap; etc - and they have always been lovely.
  9. At the very least, a strongly worded letter to The Times.
  10. Erika from FATE GEAR.
  11. Lena Wende
  12. What fx are you using for the bass sound?
  13. That's cool, having a picture of your rig on the backdrop πŸ˜‰
  14. Well, a shot in the dark, is one step away from you, while a walk in the park, is a step in the dark, and it's the things that you do, that will make me feel alright. Hope that helps 😜
  15. Favourite female bass player?
  16. I wouldn't mind my expectations being exceeded in that way! πŸ˜†
  17. Talking of Sting, he neither wrote nor played the main riff to Every Breath You Take, yet he earns around Β£2k a week from it, while Andy Summers doesn't.
  18. Not sure why Sting would be surprised, he's credited as a songwriter.
  19. Unfairly maligned is Richard Rowe, apparently Epstein made up the infamous quote. I'm sure I remember one of The Beatles saying he was probably right not to sign them, based on that one particular audition? Anyway he went on to sign The 'Stones so not all bad.
  20. "The bΓtch on Bass" Rockbitch. Played a fretless and did an amazing slap bass solo on it. I'd post a picture but I don't want Rockbitch on my search history at work! πŸ˜‚
  21. My Dad wasn't in The Applejacks πŸ˜ƒ I'm sure many Basschaters Dad's were also not in The Applejack's, but mine was once out with them, and when fans started to ask for autographs they asked him too, and the band told him to sign them πŸ˜‚
  22. But the Squiers in 1980 were Japanese made (with a Fender logo) and by all accounts just as good or better than the USA Fenders.
