  1. There's a Digitech BP355 for sale on here. It has the Digitech Whammy so does 2 octaves up, as well as various octaves, detuning, and harmonies.
  2. The scratch plate looks like it was cut out with scissors 😆 Lovely looking bass otherwise.
  3. The Peavey Black Widow seems to be a rite of passage 😆 My 1x15 was definitely a 2-person job to get up stairs. Sounded great though.
  4. I thought about having a Bucks Fizz this Boxing Day morn, but I'm having trouble making my mind up...

That’s the Land of make believe 😁

  5. I'm all set for Gear Abstinence 2023!
  6. Well you can pick it up and take it away with you. Because if that were true we'd all be insane for practicing.
  7. Floating thumb for me, and sometimes I pluck with the thumb, but also some palm muting depending on what I'm doing.
  8. $3,000.00 for a 2 hour set? Wonder what that is after tax...
  9. As @cetera knows, I've always had a soft spot for the Axe bass ☺️
  10. Until I saw Tom play it never occurred to me that you don't have to play all of the strings which are grouped together. He was often just playing the lowest string in each group. Amazing technique.
  11. Most people are quite shocked I'm not a qualified electrician.

I'm confused - is this some kind of plug, are you looking to flex your skills?

Watt?? Ohm-y God - He must have found this gag at the back of a volt!!

  12. Stig Pedersen has some, er, interesting basses 🤣 Wouldn't want one myself but I do like them, especially the iPhone bass which displays the audience as he's playing 😎
  13. There are basses with an intentionally twisted neck. They're meant to be ergonomic.
  14. Is it not measured in 'trouser flaps'? As in 'trouser flapping goodness'?
  15. If I didn't already have a Boss ME-50B and more pedals than I know what to do with, I would have bought this as a backup. Btw, the tracking on the detuner is practically perfect. I had some strings on a short scale bass that were far too floppy at standard tuning, so I tuned up a tone, and set the detuner down a tone. No issues at all.
  16. I bet it's Carol Kaye 😜
  17. Fake it 'til you make it 😉
  18. Did you account for leap seconds? https://www.nist.gov/pml/time-and-frequency-division/leap-seconds-faqs#:~:text=a leap year%3F-,What is a leap second%3F,than the Earth's rotational rate.
  19. And a drum machine, looper, and guitar amp sims as well as bass. Awesome bit of kit, love mine. GLWTS.

  21. "nude jazz" ? 😳
  22. I just called the paranoia hotline.

A guy answered "how the hell did you get this number‽".

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

I asked my local library for a book about paranoia. They whispered "Behind you".

  23. With hindsight I should have chamfered the edge and sod the resale value. It had a lovely neck and sounded great - it was a passive one.
  24. From the internet: Musician A person who puts £2000 of gear, into a £500 car, to play a £50 gig.
