1.
All, This is hard for me to do as I *REALLY* love this bass, but it's killing my shoulder. This bass sounds monsterous, and has *SUCH* a deep tone it's just not true. This is probably down to the fact that bass weighes a *TONNE*. I'm looking for £500. (**Price Changed 10/11/07**) Shipping will be around £65 (like I say, it weighes a LOT) and I'll throw in the hard case aswell. Its got a swamp ash body (I beleive, Mike Walsh can tell you more), black hardware, custom Iceni heartland pickups and active EQ. Mike made me a new neck, fitted and set it up in july last year... to play this bass is too love it, but ou'll need shoulders like atlas. Mike knows most of the history of this guitar and remembers selling it originally about 7 years ago. Like I say, I hate to see it go, but 'm not getting any younger.
you could get Mike to make you a lighter body?
 2. I'm running a 2x10 on top and 2x12 below. Awesome.
 3. what the difference between the Factors and the Ex-Factors?
 4.
PM'ed
replied!
 5. Hi I need to know where my Bass Trainer came from, but I can't remember who I bought it off. It was a great price and a top bloke to deal with is all I can remember. Please pm if it was you! cheers McD
 6.
Ok true, Here goes, Thuya full facing over bubinga body, thuya back, Ebony board with beautiful abalone inlays, Kent armsrong pickups with the powerful Schack 18V circuit. I have had this for only a short time, it is immaculate, funky sounding, phat bass, I have done several sessions with it which are available on the net here http://www.myspace.com/harrycoade (the together remix) and here http://www.myspace.com/harrysremixes (7 days, Frontin and naughty girl) Thanks, Benn
ooh lovely!
 7.
bought from and customised by Mike at The Bass Merchant.
I can not recommend this guy enough, from the entry level to custom builds The Bass Merchant is just awesome!
 8.
Am I correct in assuming that you got this from Mike at the Bass Merchant... a couple days before I called and was told that it had sold! Seriously nice compact rig.
thanks the speakers are wrapped, so each one behind is angled. Yep bought from and customised by Mike at The Bass Merchant. I had 2 requirements. 1 small. 2 loud. After the Dalek I needed something that would actually fit into my car. Having a saloon isn't the best option for a bassist
 9.
Sorry, are there 2 10" drivers in each cab? How are you getting on with the Tech stuff? You had a few questions about the EQ, but I've found it doesn;t really need touching - I just use the gain and master on mine and maybe adjust the mid for more or less bark. Other than that, it sounds great with tone controls set to 12 o'clock.
there's 2x10 on top in the combo, and 2x12 underneath in the cab. I'm not really using the EQ much either, though I've noticed the Compressor just reduces the volume - lots - unless I'm winding it up. Then it seems to do it's job. I need to try my V-AMP through the FX loop, but it's getting round to it.
 10.
+1 ...and of course being able to take a quick swig from the bottle/glass strategically placed nearby. It's good to be the bass player.
Hell yeah!
 11. okay, first up the rig next here's a closer look at the combo and just to add some perspective, both my Sub and the rig are both on the floor this is how it might look on a dark stage?
 12.
At last! Thanks OG.
and a big DOH! from me  (didn't there used to be an embarrassed emoticon?)
 13.
Never heard of Wlico Johnson, is he famous?
Dr Feelgood, and had a stint as a Blockhead.
 14. Everyone seems to have missed the most important point about using open strings - the more open strings you use, the more time you have to wave your hand in the air making rock/metal symbols!
 15. A while ago, I was talking to a bloke I know, and he mentioned in passing 'my Dad's bass player Norman'. Dad is Wlico Johnson, and Norman is the legend that is NWR
 16. TECH SOUNDSYSYEMS NT 2X10 special, originally made for Tom 'Squarepusher' Jenkinson (allegedly the smallest 2x10 ever made!) Head in the combo upgraded on the treble to give an extra 6db of boost at 11khz, 600w RMS @ 2ohm. Combo runs at 4ohms. Cab = CT 2X10 fitted with Neo B+C drivers to give 1000 watts RMS @ 4ohms. Total 1900 watts on speakers. Yeah baby it's loud Will try put some pics up over the weekend.
 17.
Vox I think
them's the ones!
 18. Forget the name, but the basses that were around in the 60's and are a tear drop shape, have an exceedingly slim neck.
 19.
Hey I'm Zoe... I was on 'bassworld' so i thought id better come and join basschat Z x
Hey welcome back
 20.
Nice - I haven't seen one of those since WASP were strutting the stage with their exploding codpieces.
and here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsoLb-E7oy8
 21. I would have killed for a bass like that when I were a lad. I like. Good luck with the sale.

 24. I saw the review in Bass Player, in a nutshell: awesome synth sounds convincing amp models and good distortions. but lack of effects plastic casing liable to dings and scratches plastic volume pedal
 25.
lets face it, bassplayers, to the rest of the world are unseen and will always plug straight into the amp, with no need for fx or anything of the kind. bah.
quite possibly true
