  1. Well I got the CS ones for a shade over £100 and they’re outstanding. Even at 30% more I’m in anyway 😂
  2. Up for sale my 1969 Fender Precision. It has been refinished in CAR ( as I’m in a Foo Fighters Tribute) and was stripped when I bought it. It was probably Sunburst as there was a little black overspray in the neck pocket I think when I got it, anyway it’s CAR with a slight relic now, done professionally with Nitro paint, inca silver base coat. All electrical, pick ups etc are 100% original, scratch plate isn’t. It now has a Limelight tortoise shell plate or can put black one back on, your choice. Frets are fab, lots of meat left, truss Rod is fine too. Neck super well played in and fast, B profile. Nut is at 40mm and weighs in at a fairly light 3.8kg. Some pics shown including pre paint with pick ups, neck and electrics. Welcome to come and try anytime and no trades. Comes with a brand new Fender Professional Hard Case. I can send more pics anytime, let me know if you want something specific.
  3. I have no idea, but they are just Custom Shop P bass pick ups, in the usual place, wired up the same and they are brilliant! Red one possibly tomorrow.
  4. Well. I finally gigged the R400 through the Barefaced 610 yesterday in a smallish pub playing some rock type covers. This thing is mighty! What a sound, loud, clear and punch and cut through beautifully. What a tone too. I used the DB751 for a festival the day before which was magnificent but this little thing was as good yesterday. Well happy 😁
  5. Cheers all, just finished the relic on the CAR. Hopefully ready for next week too. Bit of a contrast to the lovely walnut finish
  6. Yeah, like Lollipop tuners. Dunno why! Well, I actually have one in my parts box 🤔
  7. Had a deal with Andy, top guy to deal with and great comms. Thanks man and another credit to BC 👍
  8. Well first bass finished and it’s bloody lovely. Better than I thought it would turn out and I really enjoyed it. Big thanks to BassDoc for his help and advice. Sounds mega with the CS62 pick ups and ‘62 Luxe loom. It’s absolutely killer, well I think it is. Can’t wait to get the other Candy Apple Red one finished now. Few gratuitous pics attached. Gonna call it ‘sexual chocolate’ 😂😂
  9. You were on my list if my courier couldn’t collect my cab actually mate. Catch up soon buddy
  10. Ah was going to say I’ve bought a cab in Harlow and I’m having it collected by my courier. Could poss pick this up too
  11. I don’t understand! 😂
  12. Thanks dude
  13. Do it! Put them on my Sandberg and Dingwall 5er.
  14. Aye it’s lovely stuff. Really brought out the colours and grain in the walnut. Very impressed so far.
  15. Yeah sorry that’s what I forgot to say, first 2 coats 50/50 oil and spirit. Then all oil after. It does look well. Hoping to have it all put together and finished this week 🤞
  16. I didn’t. I think working the oil in with 0000 wire wool for first 3-5 coats makes a slurry which fills in the grain. Well that’s what I’ve found so far. This is my first build so still learning. I’m sure more experienced guys can advise. On the body I’m painting I have grain filled as I want a clean ish finish.
  17. Walnut one almost ready to assemble. Lots and lots of tru oil and it’s looking bloody lovely. The other is primed, grain filled and mist coated ready for wet coats and lacquer starting tomorrow. Ending up Candy Apple Red 😁
  18. Price drop to £1900 until Monday.
  19. Well played
  20. Awesome things these. Had one, actually owned it twice, bloody excellent for the money. Have a bump on me, afraid I only have a 78 Ray in Black for sale otherwise....
  21. Lots of sanding, shaping and more sanding. First coat of oil down on the natural one. 50-50 coat first and let that dry overnight. I am going to paint on, sorry gents! Really enjoying it so far and the grain on the walnut one is lovely.
  22. I believe I have this bass now. It is very good indeed.
