1.
but if I got a guitar out the Jazz police would be round before I'd tuned it.

Would the Gramma Pad help?
Maybe even just putting the cab on a bed might help.
2. Im the same. Ive never been able to use a amp at home. In fact we dont even have a sub for our home cinema set up :-( I have heard putting a paving stone underneath might help but its not something ive ever tired (or fancied carrying).
3. Blimey, thats a fantastic price. Ive just put a P-Retro in mine and that alone cost £180. This add should be P-retro for sale, with free bass lol Good luck with it.
4. I believe it stops the slight low end boost you normally get when turning the tone knob all the way down. Have a look here http://www.fenderforum.com/forum.html?db=&topic_number=530447
5.
If that was the case how do you imagine that anyone knew that they had a 4 piece horn section - or were an eight-piece band, it's not in the OP.
Fair enough, sorry i missed your post earlier.
6. It seems that no one has bothered even checking the band out. If anyone bothers to check the link out there are some video's of them playing, id be happy to play with this lot.
7. I'd do it if it was local. I enjoy playing and would love to play that set list. I know the money is rubbish but id rather be out playing that night and breaking even than sitting in watching bloody TV. "If" they were a large band then the rehearsal cost wouldn't be much, and if they need it whats the problem? Im sure they are just asking for someone to stand in, it wouldnt have to be a professional dep (they wont get one for that money anyway). Whose to say how good a "dep" will be. He/she could well be pants and be the worst player in the room. Im sure there are many players out there that would be up for it, only to be out of their depth. A real good player wont want to know, so that leaves those who maybe aren't. I'd certainty not want to go on stage without rehearsal if thats the case.
8.
She might not approve of the groupies?
yeah, i should be so lucky ;-)
9. Because i want to unwind, maybe grab something to eat, watch a bit of TV when i get in, not chat or be told its late and we should go to bed (to sleep, nothing else). Im not knocking her, just that i like to be left along when i get in, especially if ive been travelling for a few hours.
10. Mine is when i get home and my GF says "hi, i thought i would wait up for you". Gets me every time :-(
11.
Is the Wooten slap thing really boring? Or, is it me being grumpy?
Like watching paint dry, only more disappointing, same goes for Jaco. Both fantastic players, no doubt about it, but they send me top sleep when i hear them "noodling" out of a band/song context.
12. Can you smuggle back a MarkBass F500 for me please ;-)
13. This wire is to go in a P-Retro so i needed it longer than the stock length that just went to the old jack socket.
14. Thanks BB. I ended up getting way to much but it only cost me 99p from the bargain bucket so i cant complain.
15. Thanks. It all went well and hopefully in a few days once the soreness has gone ill be back to normal.
16. Funny enough I've been in hospital getting a kidney stone removed today. It's amazing what they managed to get up me without making any new holes :-0
17. Thanks John, that's what I was thinking. Looking at the bit I've taken out it does look very cheap and thin. Guess that's all that's needed.
18. Cheers John, very, very kind of you but I need it tomorrow so will have to go and buy a lot more than I need by the looks of it.
19. I'm sure it's fine but the ground wire is something I've never had to change before. I need a longer length than the piece I have in there now. I've looked around at home and can't find any spare wire and need to get some ASAP http://www.maplin.co.uk/equipment-wire-7-0.2-6192 Cheers.
20. Trying to post a reply, with an image, in Off topic and although the post went through i got the following error immediately after. 405 Not Allowed nginx/0.8.54 I also find that a lot of my posts get made ok but my browser never returns me to the thread page, it just sits there as though its still making the post.
21. I think my problem is/was that i only ever want/need one bass. So when GAS has struck its one in one out. If the new one doesnt tick enough boxes i start again. When i ran out of money i was forced to stick with what i have, and now im so used to this bass its making any other purchases seem pointless. I guess if i had a need for other basses, or just liked collecting them things would be different, but IMO a P or Jazz bass will do everything ill ever need, other than fretless. Im saving that for when i retire.
22. I do love my bas, although im still not 1005 on the colour. Ive finally found a bass that while it doesn't stop GAS, it does stop me actually buying something else once i weigh up the pros and cons. Its been a long time coming but after spending £1000's on basses over the past 8 years i really cant fault my Squier CVP (or what's left of it). I recently had the chance to get a new bass (fresh new CC, it would have been rude not to use it) and looked at a few basses that i was GAS'ing for on here but i really couldnt see any advantage over what i have already.
23. Same here. Im getting un subscribed to my followed thread as the others are.
24. I hope this sells soon. I keep coming back in here to look at it and thats not good news lol.
25. I can help with that. Here is the Lakland page with full spec's. http://www.lakland.com/44-02.htm
