  1. Exactly. When i had it first time around i liked it, but couldn't fit it on my pedal board along with my BDDI. It seemed silly to keep it but not use it, especially at the launch price. Now i have a bigger board and the cost is a lot lower. Win-Win (even more so for you when i sell it lol) Just remember its main's powered only, so you also need to carry a PSU around with it.
  2. Yeah, me. A moment of madness, or maybe im now ready for it. Damn you Basschat....
  3. Good idea. Ive had two MB cabs over the years, and I didn't find either worked well for me. They both lacked punch and presence, at least in a band context. Changing the cab first will get you a more noticeable tonal change IMO. Having rehearsed in various studios over the past 18 months, and mostly using whatever cabs they have there i noticed the cabs had a huge impact on my tone, no matter if i used the F1 or GK MB800.
  4. Yeah, the spectracomp feature is what is making getting a BH very, very temping. Ive taken mine off my board but ive often wondered what it would sound like at the other end (amp end) of the chain. I doubt ill ever sell it but the BH heads will get you close 🙂
  5. No problem. Ive always thought this about MB. Really nice solid tone but more like a blank canvas. I cant remember ever not using something like a BDDI in front of it, no matter what bass im using at the time. ive used various cabs over the years with them, and had a LMII, LMII, SA450 and the F1. All sounded pretty much the same to me, although obviously the F1 is the odd one out. I tend to use my GK MB800 more these days, and there is a world of difference, but i do find the BH heads very, very tempting. I got the F1 off Clarky years ago. I was supposed to be trading it for my Streamliner 600, but ended up just buying the F1 as i couldn't decide what i wanted.
  6. Same here. Ive used MB heads for years, but ive always found they sound better and more lively with a pre amp in front of them. I do think they lack character, or at least one that i like. I doubt ill ever get rid of my MB F1 head, but having tried other heads during the time ive not been compelled to go back to MB except for the fact that i think it looks really cool. Ive been looking in to the BH550 or BH800 head (also red, liek my F1) and i except ill get one at some point if i keep gigging. I love the smart EQ system. I had it on the Spectradrive and found for the first time i had a musical EQ rather than keeping it mostly flat on the MB heads. might be tempted to pick up a BH250 for non gig situations. Then again, i have a Q/Strip so EQ isnt really something i need worry about on the head.
  7. My drummer is like that. He gets very annoyed when asked to play quieter. In fact he has explained that you cant play drums quietly and make them sound good. Got annoyed when i said well one out of two would be good. 🙂 I refuse to turn my bass up when they moan they cant hear me at rehearsals, but i know if i dont at the gig the mix will be very drum heavy. Dreading his first gig with us on Friday. Its a rugby Club and i know its a low ceiling hard shiny floor. We will be using our own small PA which is waaay more than we need for this place, but i have a feeling the vocals just wont get heard as clearly as they should.
  8. Amazon do them.
  9. i too have the Mojomojo but doubt ill ever use it again. Its nice but it sounds a bit tame for what i want.
  10. Been re thinking what i need recently, and have decided on these few. I intend to replace the Helix with a SA Lunar, so ill have chorus and Phaser in one box. My BDDI will now not be used as always on, as I’m trying to get away from using it. The COG is sounding nice and the first Chanel will now be my always on, and the second with higher gain will give me my dirt. Compressor has gone, and no one has writing any stern letters to me yet.....
  11. Totally agree. I too have the AS and while it seems to do it all i find the Joyo UD just does what i want without the need to fuss around with programming. I also find the UD has a more lively tone without any loss of punch. It just seems more lively and bigger, without sounding too wild. Also agree that drive knob is very dangerous. I dont think ive been over 9 o’clock with mine,. I have replaced it with a COG 66 but the COG doesnt quite have the same tone. Still very usable though. Just shows you don’t have to spend a lot to find ‘your tone’.
  12. Even then, the sound for the SD channels can often sound very different to the mix or output in Dolby Digital. Quite often switching between Sd and HD can show quite a big difference in audio, and not just the quality.
  13. My main priority has always been to hold a job down and play music. I have never even considered playing full time, nor wanting to 'make it' (due to keeping a job). Playing has always been enjoyable but not 'real life' for me.
  14. Ive got a Mojomojo and its ok. I liked it at first but found it a bit 'meh'. Thats me though, i know lots of people like them. Certainty no loss of bass tone when using it. I agree with DB, its a dark tone, not a lively in your face type of box. i only used it a couple of times and while it did indeed work on the older 60's songs i found it lacking on the more modern covers we do. Just lacked that openness and sparkle that some other boxes can do. Still a nice box though. I do love the Joyo Ultimate drive though. Even cheaper and to my ears much more lively, although can still do tame. its the best, by none, that ive used, at any price. I should add that ive not used many though, but it beats the Darkglass stuff ive had, along with a Way huge Pork Loin. Its just a powerful, open tone to my ears. Joyo do lots of good OD's, well worth investigating if on a budget. I also have a Joyo Orange juice, very small and very gritty. looks cheap but sounds impressive.
  15. Maybe not you, and i meant no offence, but according to all the other 'buyer pulls out threads' it just not on leading a seller on and then pulling out. Which is what you did. If it was the other way around im 100% sure the other person would be the 'knob'. im commenting more on the following posts rather than yours. Just noticing how the pack runs on here these days.
  16. Wow. So we normally have long thread slagging off people who pull out of deals for silly reasons, and these people are nothing more than whatever the keyboard warriors feel they can type that day. While i understand the situation, i cant understand why its the seller thats the bad guy here. Why on earth shoulden be angry, and wh on eather is there a thread about? I know BC members have to stick together but even so. "Very interested, yes i can afford it, can you send me more info......sorry, the wife says no". Hardly going to get a "no prob's mate' are you? Going by the many threads on here this just wouldn't be tolerated by BC members, but in this case its not a problem for most. Gotta love the BC collective. its not what it used to be.
  17. ive had mine for close on 12 years now. Although not used much its still going strong. The BDI21 is one of the rare Behrigner products that have a very good rep, although of course nothing is 100%. i actually prefer it to the old BDDI, although my BDDIv2 is better. As far as the Amazon £17 deal goes, i bet they are getting them from G4M.
  18. Thanks. I did almost get one but ended up getting a Donner DT Deluxe tuner for £9.99. Its doing a great job so far, and at a very nice price.
  19. Someone's started to influence be 😉
  20. Wait till your audience gets to hear it, you will attain god like status 🙂
  21. I also regret selling mine 🙂 Ive never found a good enough replacement, even though iv ehad good cabs. If i wasnt about to stop regular gigging id have this. As nice as my 1x15 is it just doesnt have the kick these Schroeder's have.
  22. Yep. although some are better than others there will always be a delay of some sort. I get around this by having wireless headphones that also take a cable. I love the freedom BT gives, but if im playing at home etc ill normally be sitting by the ipad or phone anyway, so using a cable is no big deal. Certainly cant walk around the room with them though.
  23. Ive taken my Comp off my board for now. If i get too many complaints from the audience ill put it back on 🙂
  24. 'Meet up only in central London'........'how much to post to mainland Europe' lol. Yep, gotta laugh at some people.
