    My rig is a HX Stomp into a QSC K12.2, a rig that will set you back about 1k now, but likewise, I'll not be going back to an amp/cab setup.

    Keep going, there’s some silly ‘big amps are best’ nonsense early on but it soon settles into a really thorough discussion of the topic. Reading that thread lead me to totally change my views on bass amplification and ultimately to a completely new rig that I’m really happy with.

    As part of my unused gear clear out I am giving away (as in free) four clip-on tuners... A. TC Polytune Clip Black. GONE B. TC Polytune Clip White. GONE C. 2 x Korg Sledgehammer Pro Clip-On tuners. GONE Pick up from my gaff or I will deliver/meet up (socially distanced of course) within a reasonable distance. One tuner per interested party.

    I had quite recent email contact with John to get some new knobs and springs (fnar) for the ACGs, he apologised for delays to some of his mails as he had working on his own since lockdown.

    I really fancied both my music teachers at school which was rather a distraction whilst attending lessons but conversely this encouraged a disciplined regime of after hours practice on the pink oboe, unfortunately not an instrument recognised formally within the comprehensive curriculum during the 70s.
