  1. Metal Box, my top album of all time.
  2. Don’t all the best things?
  3. Just sold two ACGs to @Brian45. Easy transactions, great comms, top fella. Deal with confidence.
  4. I bought a bass back from Scotland for @cetera, using the excuse to visit friends overnight. Where is the bass located?
  5. On the contrary. I dumped my traditional bass rig in favour of a QSC K12.2 on the basis of the huge amount of extremely useful information provided on that thread and it’s the best decision I’ve made for decades. Sure there’s some silly arguing at the beginning of it but I think that’s a highly informative thread jam packed with excellent info.
  6. My QSC K12.2 gives me a better response and sound than any trad bass rig I’ve had over the last forty odd years. You can plug your bass directly into the QSC without a preamp.
  7. Aerodyne basses are light and much, much better than their reputation would have you believe.
  8. Since lockdown I’m more 3D than usual.
  9. Still can’t get the Psilos out of my head, something about that neck.
  10. Just completed a deal with @ntto. Absolute pleasure to deal with, excellent comms throughout, totally understanding with my courier and PayPal jitters. Superb Basschatter and one of the good guys. Deal with absolute confidence, a gentleman and a scholar.
  11. Just briefly met up with @stewblack to hand over an Ibanez SRH500 in surroundings only slightly more salubrious than a lay-by, motorway services*. Excellent comms, perfectly straightforward sale. He gets the highest Frank Blank epithets, those of scholar and gentleman. Deal with confidence. *I suppose services are just a glorified lay-by with food outlets really.
  12. Now back up for sale!
  13. Second and third lines of my CV, there.
  14. SOLD Purchased this bass from PMT in June, it arrived on June 24th in perfect condition and I put it in the rack. I have played it about three times, I would say for a total of 10-12 minutes. I have just been busy playing fretless and now I’ve bought a fretted Rob Allen so that bass has my fretted acoustic bass needs covered. The bass is in as new condition and retail for around £600 at the moment. The bass is extremely light and has that Ibanez quality way beyond price point thing about it. It also has a slim fast neck that all my previous Ibanez SR models seem to have that makes it extremely easy to move around. With the absence of pickups, the dusty end of the neck Is shaped in such a way that it can be used as a comfortable thumb rest. Socially distanced collection or happy to deliver/meet within a reasonable distance. No trades or offers please, you are essentially getting a brand new £600 bass for less than half price. Here is the official blurb from Ibanez and below some pics of the bass. Please feel free to ask any questions or request more pics.
  15. Just sayin’
  16. Damn, I was often down your way before the lockdown started, you could have had a go! I'll see what I can do. It sounds the same essentially but a little more clanky thanks to the frets and the strings are much newer than those on the fretless.
  17. I feel as I've come full circle. When I started out on BC in Nov 2014 I had acoustic basses exclusively and it's been a bit of a whirlwind trying, buying and selling lots of solid bodied electric basses looking for one that stuck. I should have learned my lesson in May 2018 when I purchased a fretless Rob Allen Mouse from @WishIcouldplay, I loved this bass totally. So, this morning I headed, oddly enough, back to see @WishIcouldplay in order to buy his fretted Rob Allen Mouse which is now in the rack at Chez Blank, both the ACGs are on their way to new owners which leaves me with a brand spanking new Ibanez SRH500 which I only bought because I'd given up on a fretted Mouse ever becoming available, it'll be up for sale soon. So is this set up, fretted and fretless Mice, Hx Stomp and a QSC K12.2 the final GAS killer? I suppose we shall see...
  18. Welcome @TK4261
