I think I also used to own this. Only sold it cos it hangs different to a fender due to the short top horn. Very powerful punchy bass. Nice. -

I was lucky enough to support Alan Davey's Gunslinger with my own originals band Base Elegance a couple of years ago. He brought his own head but used my cab. We spent ages chatting bass and he had a go on my Rik 4001. Great player and lovely fella :-)

Well the pot is there to vary the output of the active circuit to balance it to the volume of the bass if used passive, so I'd very much doubt the box is designed to come out.

The Lh500 is an awesome head. I'm tempted to offer trade for my BG250, but I know you'd be disappointed sound wise, I need another head like I need a hole in the head, and I gotta say the BG250 Is really handy for gigs with sh*t load ins.
