You'll adore it if it's anything like the gorgeous one I bought. Ridiculous value for money, beautifully made. The guy I sold it to a year ago is in love with it still. I've gone back to Warwicks out of necessity, but if I wanted another Fender, Japanese non-export is what I would get without a microsecond of hesitation.

Do you consider yourself an "expert" bass player?
xilddx replied to Jam's topic in General Discussion
Music is infinite. We are all beginners. -
I can never understand why Scott Thunes and Tom Fowler almost never get a mention on BC. Both true virtuosos, and both play precisions with a pick on most of Zappa's recordings. From my friends on a flamenco forum. My picado speed and accuracy has increased dramatically over about 3 hours of practising these types of exercises on a nylon string guitar, and in rehearsal the other night on bass, it has translated very well indeed. http://www.foroflamenco.com/tm.asp?m=177326&appid=&p=&mpage=1&key=building%2Cspeed&tmode=&smode=&s=#177387

You won't go far wrong with this. Greetings from Warwick Basses & Framus Guitars!
xilddx replied to Warwick_Official's topic in Introductions
Garey, good to have you on here. I'm a huge fan of Warwick, I've had a few and finally found THE ONE in the form of a Streamer ChromeTone which I bought from another basschat member last year. It's the most perfect bass I can imagine. I think Warwick make the most intelligently designed basses in the world. And I applaud your sustainability commitment. I hope you are here not only to promote the company, but also to support your existing and potential customers. All the best, Nigel -
This is Steve Homes my old Flamenco teacher he is based in Kings Cross
I like that a lot, great rhythmic skill, lovely tone. Although he's playing with a cajon, I think a lot of people don't realise that solo flamenco guitar is still normally very solid with the compas. I used to think it was a bit random when I was young, I bet most people do. I start lessons with Ramon Ruiz in a few weeks, can't wait. I need focus and time management with practice at the moment, with wifey being ill. It will give me some discipline, in all areas of my life I hope.

Best of luck Scott. I hope you mint it for your brother, and best wishes for his rehab and hopefully a full recovery. -
We're on at 10pm fellas. The DJ Jamie Renton is ace though, you'll hear some wickid music from all over the world. Really glad you're coming. If Diane's feeling up to it she might make it too. Cheers! Nx

I bought this lovely instrument last year from Guitar Guitar in Epsom. I tried loads including top range Taylors, Lowdens, Martins, I liked the Breedlove. Although a Lowden at about £3k really was glorious Anyway, while on holiday last week I rediscovered my love of flamenco and now I want a nice Flamenco guitar. I can't afford to keep this steel string and get the flamenco I want. So she's up for sale. This is not the C25/SMe, this is the higher priced version, the SM. It was on at £849 in the shop but I knocked them down to £779. It includes the original hardcase which is beautiful, so lush I want to sleep in it but it's too small. It totally survived my flights to and from Italy last week on BA, but it now has a few minor scuffs. The guitar inside is mint and it looks beautiful, understated but with lovely design touches. It plays very smoothly and very fast, low action with very light strings at the moment but it's still loud and projects really well. It's a professional instrument and it's beautifully made. The LR Baggs electronics are excellent and has an onboard tuner which is really useful. Comes with the tags, allen keys, etc. Also included is a walnut Lute Hole feedback damper, and a spare set of DR Sunbeam roundcore strings which feel really nice to play and have a punchy but sweet tone. I'd like £500 for it, collection only in West London at the moment. Cheers, Nx Here's the fluff from Breedlove .. The Atlas Studio C25/SM has been redesigned with tastefully understated aesthetic touches and improved projection. The Atlas Series Studio C25/SM is a serious Breedlove acoustic-electric concert body guitar ready to record live or play out. Boy do I need a good gig at the moment. This will be a great one I reckon Nx
-
Well that wont get you any gigs at all, it sounds very poor. If you want to hear what you're up against in terms of demos to get gigs, check out this topic, the originals band here have recorded three tracks fo rexactly the same purpose, and their demo sounds superb. I know which band I'd put on if it were me, going on the demos alone....
+1 !!

Wow! That's the sort of thing ibass should be doing!
I shall look forward to checking out some of the video links in the comfort of my own home & set of cans on. I am a big fan of Hillage, Gong & Hawkwind. I can't believe no one has mentioned the epic Live Herald by Steve Hillage. One of my fav LP's of his.
Ahh, one of my very favourite albums.

I listened to Tombs. It all sounds as dry as a dog biscuit, sorry. The sounds need to be much brighter, they need much more punch and sparkle. The balance of the voice and instruments isn't great but that is easily sorted. It's just not inspiring to listen to the way it sounds now. Nothing you can't fix up, but it does need someone with mixing ability. Ideally, you need to think about how you track, you almost certainly need to print better sounds. Sorry if that sounds negative, but I wouldn't want to blow smoke up your arse.
