  1. Anyone got a transcription for Bob Berg's Friday Night at the Cadillac Club pls. TA
  2. Ah tis true................ still going back those old tracks and being blown away.
  3. Try and pick up a used Musicman sub or an Ibanez. Can't go far wrong there these days in that budget.
  4. Just be better than anyone else. Your job is to play and perform. Work hard , respect your band and the fact that they may have differing views. If you can't do that it's not about being a musician its about your own problems.
  5. Well at least he gave you a arrogant response. I wrote to Laurus 3x and they just ignored me.
  6. Hi yes, I bought it from BD. It is a great instrument I'm very happy. Your hex must be amazing, its stunning.
  7. I'll just pop through a black hole back into the early 60's and put 170 quid on deposit at compound interest. Won't be a minute............
  8. Something has gone wrong in the fabric of space time.............I don't seem to own this.............I am struggling with this concept.
  9. I can answer that. Its still here because I bought one new 8 weeks before this went up for sale............. and its better looking than mine............damn!
  10. My April 62 Oly White - a thing of great loveliness.
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I7E3Bie_mA in at 2/47 Admittedly a CR version but hey.........
  12. I use an NTX5 - I have looked at all of the other options but the NXT ideal if you are using both EUB and Guitar. 1. Its small and light in a way that most EUBs aren't 2. Its a fair approximation unless you are a serious player in which case you aren't going to get one for 1K anyway 3. It stands up when you are not playing it so no falling over pr propping up on stage 4. it looks cool 5. People like Niel Fairclough use them - ok with me.
  13. Available to Bc'ers here only £1200. This 34 year old bass is in 9/10 condition and has lovely neck, really fast. I have owned it since new. This is a good one, workmanship is perfect and a lovely instrument. in Bass Direct at the moment.
  14. Had a fretless one in the day......... still miss it!
  15. Damn right, soo..... few people pay attention to the fact he used a P to great effect, Everyone is fixated in the Ray. Then of course there was the BC Rich which was in single P format also unless I am mistaken.
  16. At Last! Someone gets the idea!
  17. This occurred to me today The one thing most of we addicted to bass types would like would be to take our favourite bass with us. It read that today the cost of a funeral was about 4K -much of the cost of a pre cbs Fender - give or take. It seems only reasonable to take care of our families and cover our funeral costs with an inflation proof investment. I am currently enjoying my funeral - a nice 65p - I shall enjoy it until I have no need of it and then having given me a lifetime of pleasure she will lay me to rest and buy my loved ones a beer or two. Now tell me its not worth the money :-)
  18. How about a Laurus T800 maple top 6er in PX + Cash
  19. Unlined yes, side markers yes......practise lots :-)
  20. Bump to anyone looking for a superbly built and sounding V. Der Gier are amongst the best modern builders anywhere in my view. This is a stupid price for a really good instrument.
  21. I can give a hearty thumbs up for the new models. Just got a new Pentabuzz with the Bart soap bars in Feb. Seriously the best fretless I have ever played. Where were you in February!!
