1. A friend of mine uses those bungee ropes, as mentioned previously.
2. 6 string headless. Excellent. I'm waiting for the finished product with baited breathe.
3. Clive. Neil from Dragline does amp fixing and electrical work. Have you had a word with him?
4. Normally Elite Stadiums, but I've just got a few packs of Warwick Reds to see how they compare.
5. I just did a Google search and someone is making artwork out of them http://www.mnartists.org/work.do;jsessioni...4B62C?rid=10820
6. I like my Line6 110 Studio too. Amazing sound for such a little amp. I've read a review of the Fender BDEC in the Bass Magazine and it certainly looks impressive. The Fender includes a tutorial mode which can help to teach you bass. The Fender retails at £299, which is expensive but you get LOADS of features Check out The Fender site for details of this amp: http://www.fender.co.uk/products/search.ph...rtno=2354200000 The Line6 Lowdown Studio you can get for about £179, here's the details on the Line6 site: http://uk.line6.com/lowdown/studio110.html
7. A 110 'E' string gives me the frights. The 175 doesn't look like it would move if I jumped on it. Remember to PM me if you're taking that bass out in public so I can have a look. Cheers Dood Quick Edit: Just thought I should add that I don't intend to jump on your bass to prove my initial point
8.
Black one is an 88 SSII custom finish with straight tuners as opposed to angled
I thought the headstock looked a bit funny. My first thought was that it was a Spector, then I just put it down to some weird perspective trick.
9. That's a wall to be proud of. I wouldn't be able decide which one to play first, they all look great.
10. I originally bought a 6U rack and had dreams of filling it with all manner of pre-amps, power-amps and flashy lights. I then learnt that this was a conduit to GAS and quickly sold it off and bought a 2U rack which just fits my Hartke HA3500. Can't want for anything else now as there's no space for it.
11. Me playing for Insaniac at the Eastern Haze Festival last year Caught having a quick noodle when I should have been painting the house. Rumbled.
12. I would call my Warwick Thumb Bolt-On 4 my main instrument, though my Ibanez SR900 seems to be seeing more action recently.
13. I've bought a bass rack/stand and Zoom H4 from Thomann.de and the experience has been great so far. Cheap and prompt. I've found that they don't actually take the money out of your account until you've had the items for a few days too. I haven't had any experience with returns though, which can always sour a relationship.
14. If a 2x10" is too big what about a Warwick NEO 1x12"? £279 from GAK and only 17kg.

Zoom H4 help?

I've just checked one of my recording I did at 44KHz and it seems to play fine and gave me the option of burning it to disk using Windows Media Player 11. I can only think that the version of Media Player you've got installed isn't liking something in the WAV header of the files. Do you have to change the format or sampling frequency at all to get Media Player to behave?
16. It's basses like this that make me GAS for a Status. I've been GAS-free for months.
17. No prize for guessing my favourite. That's a great collection you've got there Thumbo.
18. I was obviously too late in posting Is there any way to get this duplicate locked/deleted?
19. D'oh! It's already been done. My HA3500 into a Hartke PRO2200 2x12. Don't be fooled by the size, this is a beast of a mini-stack.
20. I'll start us off. Modest Hartke setup. HA3500 bolstered by a Groove Tubes pre valve and Aphex Bass Xciter, going into a Hartke Pro2200 2x12 cab. I love the sound I get out of this relatively cheap setup. Any pent up GAS soon subsides when I've go this setup powered up.

Zoom H4 help?

I've never had this problem before, but I might not have tried to record at that WAV quality yet. Have you checked that your Zoom is running the latest Firmware? Check the latest at http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/download/software/h4.php I think there was a release a couple of months ago.
23. The figuring on that is absolutely mesmerising. Another gorgeous Shuker.
24. Sorry about the size of the last one. I thought maybe attaching it might auto-shrink. The basses are a Warwick Thumb BO 4 (My all time favourite bass), A Japanese Squire Precision (my first bass, recently upgraded with a badassII and Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounders), and my latest bass, an Ibanez SR900 (I bought to keep in concert pitch for my covers band - can't believe the features for the price).
Groove Tubes 12AX7M - Based on the original Mullard ECC83. A very high gain valve - too high for some situations. It has a fat and gritty tone that, when pushed, sounds very pleasant in an aggressive way. Great for single valve preamps such as the Hartke 3500 for giving a large amount of drive. My Rating: 9/10
I'll second that. Changed the Sovtek stock valve I got in my HA3500 to one of these and the sound is much warmer and valve-like. Impressive for an amp with just a single pre-amp valve in it. Well worth the investment if your HA3500 hasn't quenched the dreaded GAS.
