1. Maybe you could start using it a bit more - I absolutely love my 2013 model US Standard Jazz Bass
2. I think I'm going to have to get a 5 string version one of these in the new year. I'd like a sunburst, rosewood with tortoise shell pickguard but unfortunately the sunburst model only comes with a black pickguard and it looks as though you can't actually buy spare pickguards for these basses from Fender?
Here's my latest Jazz, another '61;
Can you actually beat a pre-CBS Jazz Bass in sunburst? Not for me you can't
4. The rosewood board looks awesome. In the photos it looks nice and dark like Brazilian rosewood!
5. Wow! Awesome... And great job with the additions. Very well done.
6. Nice! Did it come with the tortoise shell pickguard or did you get that afterwards? I thought they were black pickguards on the black American Deluxe Jazz as standard?
7. Awesome looking bass... Can we get some photos of the back please?
8. I'm amazed this hasn't sold yet. A stunning looking example.
9.
What winds me up is a BMW M3 logo on a badly done up 318, and im not even a car nut!!
Oh I don't know, a BMW M3 logo on a badly done up 318 amuses me.
10. Hmmmm I wonder if you can get an ebony fingerboard too - I think ebony looks closer to Brazilian rosewood than Indian rosewood...
11. Are the dots inbounds clay on limelights? I played a couple but never checked that.
12. I've got an idea... get her to tell you what her dream wedding ring would be... then tell her you don't like it and that you're paying
13. I will definitely hold onto it now... I started regretting my decision about 3 weeks after selling it so went down to Absolute Music in Poole where they had 3 US Standard Fender Jazz Basses in stock and played each of them. None of them felt anywhere near as nice as the one I’d sold. I genuinely couldn’t believe the differences between the basses could be so vast considering all three were the same US Standard models. Thankfully, Nick got in contact, was an absolute gent and kindly offered me first refusal
14. I recently played a couple of Limelights and have owned a number of pretty nice Bravewoods in the past and, personally speaking, none of them have gotten near to the look or feel of my '64 Fender Jazz Bass. I don’t think it’s something that can actually be picked up in photographs either. I can’t really put my finger on what it is but when I see a Limelight/Bravewood in a photo, I think that they look pretty great, but when I’ve actually got one in my hand and look at my genuine ’64 Jazz sat next to it, the Limelight/Bravewood looks and feels reliced in my opinion... Having said all this, if they float your boat, go for it! I was actually thinking of asking Mark at Limelight to build me an Olympic white/matching headstock '64 Jazz with zero relicing. As close to what a real Jazz would have been delivered to someone brand new from the factory back in '64 but then I decided to buy a 6-string instead
15. Wow... a stunning Jazz... And 8.8lbs is crazy light for a 70s Fender. Enjoy.
16. I sold my Jazz to Old Horse Murphy and then got the opportunity to buy it back. I snapped his hand off Lovely Japanese Jazz by the way... I'm quite jealous you know.
17. [sup]Head over to the classifieds and buy both [/sup]
18. I've got 3 DD-6s and 3 DD-7s... love them
19. What software is used? I mean is it saved as an MP3, WAV, AIFF?
20. No way - that Apogee Jam 96k is awesome!!!!!!
