    Seems the market is so dead at the moment for high end stuff. I thought this was relatively inexpensive for what it is at the original price but £6k is a great price. GLWTS.

    You could open them up in Audactity which is free and then export as .aiff, .wav, etc., etc.

    BOURNEMOUTH 2005 I answered an ad for a local band called SYSTEMA - they were playing originals that were heavily influenced by Rage Against The Machine - brilliant guitarist, excellent drummer and a very decent singer. It was between me and a guy I knew well called Fab. I'm a very technical bassist relying heavily on theory, scales, modes, arpeggios, etc. whereas Fab had a more natural feel - he just had something, he could pick a tune up and create a cool bassline almost on the spot - just a superb bassist... but I also knew he was very, very flakey and never stuck with bands long. The band gave us both a CD of the material to learn a week before the audition - the CD didn't have any bass on it which I liked because I was able to write the parts myself of course. Anyway the audition came, I played my basslines to all of their tracks, played in key, played in time, etc. I generally felt I wouldn't have changed anything and I also like to think I'm very reliable and a pretty laid back, easy hang. I didn't hear anything from the band and figured they'd gone with Fab - it wouldn't have been a problem if they'd just told me straight - I don't get hissy about these kinds of things - it's far more irritating not being told. About a month later, the singer calls me up and tells me Fab hasn't shown up to any of the rehearsals, didn't actually learn any of the tracks and jammed through the audition - he then tells me he wanted to go with me originally, the guitarist wanted Fab, the drummer was ambivalent and would I be interested in coming in now. Even though I took what he said at face value, I just figured it'd be more agro than it's worth joining them - they're either at odds with one another or telling lies.

    I saw some guy had a 2015 US Jazz Bass on here for £750 - I know it’s a little beyond your budget but if you could stretch I’d go with something like that. If you decide to move it on anytime I can’t imagine you’d lose anything either.

    I only switched to a 6 from a 4 because Ambient and I were working on something together. Now I would never not have a 6.

    I've played a few 33" scale Fodera's with low Bs and haven't experienced a bad one yet myself. If this had been a 6 I'd have snapped it up. Really great price in my opinion.

This Fodera Koa Monarch 6 Bolt-On is a unique and rare design. 6 strings, 33" scale length and 16.5mm bridge spacing make this the most compact 6-er Fodera build allowing the player to access all of the benefits of an extended-range instrument with maximum ease and comfort. Fast solo runs, deep pocket grooves, chording in the upper register; This bass handles it all and with authority. A mahogany body and ebony fingerboard give this bass a clear and well balanced tone with a bell-like upper register. I've photographed two small marks near the lower horn. Other than that, it's pretty much bang on. Weight according to my bathroom scales is 10.2 pounds. I'm based in Bournemouth, Dorset. Local pick up preferred but I would ship fully insured at the buyers expense and acceptance of risk. No trades please. I sold this bass before but really regretted it and was lucky enough to be able to buy it back. This time it's being sold because I've saved up the funds and commissioned a new build with Fodera.     I'm sure this is a dumb question but can someone tell me which will be louder please? PJB Double 4 that is 70 watts with 2x4" speakers or a Markbass Micromark 801 that is 60 watts with 1x8" speaker.

    I heard back from PJB and Synergy and both said it is unlikely they'll actually go into production which is a shame.
