It's an interesting one. The speaker is an 8 Ohm unit. The amplifier will output 507W RMS in to 4 ohms. Therefore, you will need two of those cabinets to get 507W from the amp. The rating they are giving is if the RM C112T was also connected to an extension cabinet.

Queen. I grew up being totally engrossed by Brian May's guitar playing. I suppose that was the band I heard the most despite being exposed to such a wide range of music as a kid. Everything from The Everly Brothers to Iron Maiden, The Damned, Glen Cambell to Jeff Wayne. Then there was that other guy playing an instrument that looked like it'd far better fit me..and it sounded cool... really cool.. When humming a tune, it was always the Bass line I gravitated to. I'd never remember lyrics but I could easily pick out a Bass line when others couldn't. Of the pickguard makers advertising, how can I be sure that the types they make are exact versions for the instrument required? Or, to put it another way, who can confidently say that they will do a version of say a US Precision plate where the screws are in exactly the right place? I know that said plate does fit one of my instruments and the screw holes line up. I'd be cheesed off if I bought a new plate (in say a non-standard colour) only to find that, having been advertised as a certain type, that it wasn't a correct fit for one reason or another.

My solution, as your GK is a capable amp, would be to add a second 2x10 cabinet, or even a 4x10 to the mix. This would serve well to get the volume up better than adding more amplifiers. Having one of each would mean you could have a 2x10, a 4x10 or a 6x10 configuration for all eventualities. That said, I'm a massive fan of IEMs, so going that route is also very favourable, especially as you'll be able to keep the levels much lower in your lug-oles

The BxK and Vintage models are two different types of drive and there are a number of 'updates' shall we say for each model. For example Vintage Microtubes - Vintage Deluxe - Vintage Deluxe II - Vintage Ultra. Each in turn have an enhanced feature set, but essentially start with a similar voice. It's similar for the BxK range too. The B3K doesn't have the full EQ section that the B7K does and the Ultra version is the latest update of the B7K, if that makes sense. Like the MXR M80, if you turn off the drive section, the EQ (preamp) sections of the B7K, Deluxe and Ultra versions are all still running. You'll only switch that off if you disengage the pedal completely. Having a B7KU and a VM would probably be a really nice mix, though I'd be tempted to put a B3K in front of the Vintage Ultra, simply because I would kinda set the VMU to be my 'amp on the edge of break up' all of the time, then use the B3K or similar to push it over the edge. Ultimately, I've not tried both ways round and the only way for knowing what works for you is to try it out. I know that's not going to be easy unless you can get to somewhere like Bass Direct and try out all four!

It's this minefield of scams and 'dodgy' eBayers surrounded by red tape that doesn't really protect the seller that has put me off listing anything for sale on eBay. Last time I did, a guy broke the amp I sold him and then tried to get me to pay for the repair. Never again!

Seek out an enthusiastic teacher! Find someone who really loves their instrument and is excited about teaching you the dry stuff in an informative and engaging way. Just recently a student told me that she'd manage to learn more about theory in one hour than in six lessons of extra school coaching!
