1. A flawless transaction with Gilles and my (now his new) cabinet went safely to it's new home! Brilliant, great BCer and all round top chap.
 2.
I used to have it on a HB Powerplant junior from one output and most of the time it was ok, but sometimes it produced a lot of noise. Connecting it to two outputs cured that issue. So as they are 120ma out each, somewhere around 150 I would think would do it. In the end I got a cheap Chinese isolated power supply that said DC8 (the B3 needed an isolated supply too), and I power everything off it without issue, it cost £36.95
I'd have taken your original advice on the HB PJ too if it weren't for the big hungry Digitech on the board too, though I hadn't mentioned that at the time. I must admit, I'm really tempted to just rehouse three 1A 9v SMPS adaptors is one small box. That'd be pretty cheap and I'm pretty happy that I'd be able to do it safely. The only thing I don't really have right now is time..
 3.
Hey Dood - what are the power requirements of the 8 pedals in terms 9V / 12V (or more) and 100mA vs 300mA etc.? My Smooth Hound wireless works fine with 9V 300mA from my Ciocks DC8
I realised I didn't directly reply to your message. Looking at the specifications I am definitely not looking at more that 100mA for each pedal, not including the afore mentioned SmoothHound and Digitech. The TC's are DSP so I expect them to be a bit more, but the Sheehan pedal specs say 35mA only. Thank you for the suggestion
 4.
This one has been on my radar but I wanted to find out if the outputs could handle the Digitech. I ought to drop them a line!
I've sent them an email.
 5.
feel like i say this alot, but the stymon ojai has to be worth a shout, 5x 500ma double isolated outputs. i also use a gigrig isolator to turn one of the outs into 4x100/120ma outputs with another level of isolation, works really well and the Ojai is tiny
This one has been on my radar but I wanted to find out if the outputs could handle the Digitech. I ought to drop them a line!
 6.
The gigrig timelord will probably do to isolate the digitech. (Specs for it below from its manual) I couldn't find the current requirement for your wireless, I just found that it's center positive. Might be able to run it of a pedal supply with an adaptor. (And isolate it if current is low enough). Should be able to fit this blow a board. Depending on brand.
Will I need one for the Digitech and one for the SmoothHound? (I have a centre positive adaptor for the SH)
 7.
My "in progress" board is being powered by a couple of Rockboard Power LT XLs. They each have 2 9v outputs which run at 1A apiece. I've dedicated one output to my Smooth Hound (with a Gigrig Timelord and polarity reversing adapter in between) and have daisy chains running from the 3 outputs I have left. I could have gotten away with just the one Power LT but I decided 2 would be best for battery life. Having 2 power sources isolates my effects into 2 completely separate groups by default which is a nice bonus even without the Timelord With my setup, you could dedicate one Rockboard LT XL to just the Digitech and the Smooth Hound - The Digitech plugged straight in and the Smooth Hound with a Timelord feeding it. The second LT XL will then happily power your remaining pedals. The whole setup costs around £140 and leaves you with just a single cable running from your board to your amp. You won't look back!
I'd have to try it, but the Digitech won't play ball with any other pedal daisy chained to it, even off of a battery pack, though I haven't tried a 'semi-isolated' supply (the type that isn't galvanically isolated) .
 8. I really appreciate all the replies, some great stuff here for me to take a closer look at and I'll reply after a geekathon. Keep 'em coming! (I've even thought about building my own PSU!)
 9. Will come up with a trade list.
 10. I thought it'd be fun to make a little pedal board for gigs. My version of a 'fly rig' if you will. I started it several weeks ago but really have just been utterly frustrated and an ready to ditch the idea. The pedals are: Smoothound Wireless TC Tuner TC Compressor EBS Sheehan Deluxe TC SubnUp TC Dreamscape Digitech Solo XT Micro DI. They won't all run from one power supply. I'll need at least three. The wireless wants it's own supply and so does the Digitech. The Digitech won't play ball with most isolated power supplies because it needs nearly 1A at boot time. Find me a small distro that can do that which didn't cost a fortune lol. I want to use the XT Solo as I can save tracks and recall pre-recorded loops. Most loopers can't do this. So my fly rig has got to now include a mains brick and a few adaptors. No longer small. In my dream world, manufacturers would agree to a standard where units could all share the same supply. Oh well. Do I give up functionality to get the small board? Ideally having these pedals I don't really want to have to cough up too much more to make this work.
 11. Wow!!! That's a crazy price!! Can't imagine this is going to hang around long at all!!!
 12. I've 'played' through the Trickfish but I am yet to get my hands on a pair of 112MNTs and a Spartan to try out. Sadly on this occasion neither the Trickfish or the included cabinets made the journey. Shame really as on paper they seemed like a nice piece of kit. Looking forward to hearing the red faced demons though. Marc Vanderkley is a lovely guy.
 13.
Without an XLR out! It was a dealbreaker for me.
Have a look out for the Fender rebadged Mooer 'Micro DI' pedal. Super little box even has a cabinet simulator on board. So cheap I bought two for when I do actually need a DI pedal.
 14. Yes I have one of these too! It's very well made, but the only downside is that one evening I sweated like mad in a really hot venue and I've made the suede side ripple from when it got wet and dried out. No biggy as it still feels ok on my shoulder. I have another very cool 4" strap that came via Amazon Prime from Minotaur. I'm really impressed with the one I have got. Nicely padded too. This one has a smooth underside and less likely to suffer as the Hypnotic has.
 15. The offerings on YouTube doing demos of these pickups against others are thin on the ground. Anyone using them care to do some video/sound clips? Thoughts? Cheers!
 16. Hi! I've seen them but not tried them. My only reservation about an empty cabinet is that the cabinet should have been modelled to get a certain response from a specific speaker. Is the one you have the speaker that should go in to this size box? 'Any speaker' can work, but I've seen the results of getting it really wrong.
 17.
Thanks - Any way of telling ?
Quick search of google for some images: Fender: D'Addario: Sorry, quick search so I didn't grab larger images. {edit} These are obviously guitar strings, but the colours used are the same if not necessarily exactly for each string.
 18. Not sure if this has been covered, but right hand grip can be the problem when it comes to 'sticky glossy necks'. If your hand is sticking to the neck, then the chances are your grip could be improved. I've un-taught 'broom handling' to many bass players and they have found that they can play more fluidly and have less problems with shiny necks on hot sweaty gigs. Just a thought which might be helpful! Dooooood.

Thank you!!!! Should have gone to Specsavers.
 20. Looks very cool. A great idea! I only hope that there's the option to blend in clean bass in all of the effects to make it useable for bassists too. It'd be great to be able to use drives and distortion, but not useable if there's no option to keep our all important low end intact. Other than that, seamlessly melding on board effects with external pedals is a dream come true and the reason I bought my TC Electronics G-System (currently for sale). There's no manual online I can see for this pedal yet, so I await to find out more. The Zoom B3n is obviously a hot topic too but of course is bass orientated out of the box. I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews.
 21.
I think it's just a case of the Guitar being out of tune (for what ever reason). It's not in concert pitch. The Keyboards are in tune at C# (for some reason a semi tone up from the studio recording). The giveaway for me, is the Bass is pumping out C# Quavers along with the Keys. So C# must have been the key decided before hand. But knows or cares...? It's a very, very funny clip.
I was intrigued by the comments on the YouTube video so I grabbed my bass and yeah, the keys are playing C# but Eddie's guitar isn't playing a C even if he was meant to be a semi-tone out by accident. So I agree, something was up with the EVH machines that night. Strangely odd that the choice was made to play the song up a semi-tone anyway, but sometimes that can be an easy choice if a song before or after is in a similar guitar tuning. I've no idea if that case meant to be the case here. Bit cringey throughout, though I think DLR smashing himself in the face with his chrome pole live on US TV is probably up there with memorable VH performances.
 22. For comfort, I'd place it on the 7th fret of the A string position. Either way, yes, to be in the right register it's not down at the bottom of the neck, open E.
 23.
I've got a HD210, sounds great and is a breeze to move around
I guess that would make a cool stack with an HD210!
 24. No, I've withdrawn it (above) after kicking myself for selling the first one. I'm on the look out possibly for another, or an HD212 or a Barefaced BB2 to match the one I have coming. I will edit the title.
