1.
already have the smaller Nova system and it's great. Bargain price here... Just wondering though: do the octaver, pitch effects, tuner and noise gate work properly with a bass on the full G-system ? They don't on the Nova.
How odd! I've owned the Nova System before I upgraded to the G-System and never had any problems! The Octaver, much like the analogue equivalent tracks nicely - the pitch effects, especially detunes 'chorus' nicely - though I wouldn't try a three part harmony down the low end of the neck. I agree that the tuner doesn't like my low F# string (below B string) but on my basses (certainly 4 string) it is rock solid. There are few tuners that do like a low F# string fundamental anyway and in noisy environments, the 12th fret harmonic is a way purer tone to send to any tuner, so I'd recommend using those instead. I've a few students who favour a low 'dub' bass sound with flat wounds or very little top end in their sound. Some tuners seem to struggle with this more than a nice 'new string' zingy sound full of rich top end.
 2. I posted this on my Instagram at my gig on Saturday. My latest acquisition. We are running an XR18 desk and each of us can control our individual IEM mixes using our iPads. Super easy, but 1) I like to be able to tweak whilst I am playing and 2) given the available aux sends left, I had to give up the opportunity for a stereo mix with my usual set up. Then I learned about this, the P16m controller which connects to the desk via Behringer's 'Ultranet' network using a Cat 5 (network cable). It carries 16 channels of audio direct to me in about 1ms latency. I now have a stereo mix, fast access to grouping channels, EQ on every channel and a built in limiter to save my lug oles. Oh and no batteries to worry about! Very pleased indeed!
 3.
that's how I justified the cost of the IEM in the first place. When you consider that folk will have no problem shelling out £1k for some boutique cab ...
And it's one for each ear Annnnnnnnnd they don't suffer from bad sound when you use them in a rubbish shaped room. Annnnnnnnd no one will ever ask if they can use them.... Annnnnnnnd they won't break your back when it comes to load the gear away.... Annnnnnnd all 16 of my speakers fit in my top pocket ha ha!!

 5.
This is the power supply on the pedal board, with everything powered. Need to retidy the power cables as I have moved stuff around The AA battery doesn't live there, it is just for scale
What size Pedaltrain are you running WIB?
 6. Is two minutes a record?
 7. X X X X X X X X X X X X X X! Congratulations!! Amazing news YAY!!!!!!!
 8.
Thanks! It looks like it just might work? 3cm is just about the clearance I've got to the floor... shame the feet cannot be replaced as I could install bigger ones to be sure... 7cm and L-shaped ends of the cables is plenty to fit between the bars... I might just order one and see, thank you!
No problem! Thank WoodInBlack for pointing this one out. I found some reviews online of the unit; a guy had opened one up and was pretty happy with how they were built, so all good news!
 9. Size highlighted, not the 'package size' below.
 10.
Hmmm... how big is this? I'm looking for something that would fit under my Pedaltrain Nano...
Here's the specs chap The VITOOS DC8 is the flagship model power supply for effect pedals, with 6 outlets at 9 volts and 2 voltage-adjustable outlets. It is specially designed for those guitarists who have few pedals with different voltage requirements. If you own some pedals using 18v and you may use them at the same time with your other pedals running at 12v and 9v, or even if you want to get more dynamic and sparkle sound at some pedals can be originally running between 5v and 18v just like some Full tone pedals, DC8 is just your choice. (Not all pedals can be used with 12v or 18v, make sure you read through the manual, any damage because of the incorrect connection will not be warranted) The DC8 will drive 8 pedals from the same source, it’s more than a power supply, it’s a power conditioner which supplies a predictable voltage all the time and keeps your pedals in constant performance from one show to another. Features: Powers six 9v pedals and two adjustable 9v,12v , 18v all at once without losing any signal intensity. 2) Comes with 8 DC cables to connect your pedals to the DC8. 3) Isolated outputs from each power section and Short Circuit Protection ensures a stable working condition. 4) The LEDs of each 9v OUTLET will light in red to indicate the short-circuited pedal without cutting off other outlets’ power. 5) FCLC (Fold back Current Limiting Circuit) provides ultimate protection against power shortages and overloads. Even at full load, you’ll enjoy the quiet and cool operation of a fully regulated power supply. 6) All ROHS components inside which are stored in a portable, robust and occlusive metal case. 7) Customized DC jacks with long time working life up to 50,000 Times Pull and Plug. 8) Dual color LED, green for power indication and red for short-circuited pedal caution. Specifications: AC to DC adaptor : INPUT: AC 100v~240v at 50/60Hz, 2000mA. 11. On Gumtree but happy to take offers here within reason.
 12.
This is the power supply on the pedal board, with everything powered. Need to retidy the power cables as I have moved stuff around The AA battery doesn't live there, it is just for scale
Arrived this morning, I've had 5 minutes to plug in and test it. So far it seems that the Digitech and other pedals are playing nicely together! Great! Oh and for once, the unit seems smaller than the advertised picture online! Much appreciated WoodInBlack!
 13.
@ Sean - cheers for all of that interesting and helpful feedback and I love the description of the MB as an "alcohol free beer". In other words something that can have great taste and quench your thirst on a warm summer's day, but leave you able to get into your car and drive safely home after, right? Anyway hopefully I've paid you back by saving you £25 on the Donner instead of the Fender micro DI, I guess you're going to spend the saving on a couple of six packs (with alcohol) and a curry? Enjoy... I'll get back on topic now, too! The TC Nova does look good: it covers the six major effects groups: compression, EQ, Noise Gate, Modulation, Pitch, Delay and Reverb all programmable and storable in 60 user presets (vs 150 user presets on the Zoom B3n) AND combined with an ANALOGUE drive unit which is really cool. It seems to be at its best with "one preset per song", whereas I quite like being able to layer in effects during certain songs and the Zoom's triple banking of effects really assists with this. The TC is still double the price of the Zoom B3n although it is now 8 year old tech - goodness knows how much it was when it was launched then?! https://www.anderton...nic-nova-system PS how good are you at impressions and why Michael Caine?
The next logical step I think would be the TC Electronic G-System http://www.tcelectronic.com/g-system/ Which like the Nova contains studio grade effects (which TC are well known for) but i think will offer the access you are after. Frequent 'in song' patch changing and access to the effects within a patch quickly. It is a stunning unit.
 14. It's a cabinet that I would love to hear in person and would probably drop cash on after the fact. I have an HD112 thus am looking to pair it with another. Maybe I have some weird OCD!
 15. The MU's own Insurance will cover you around the world and you get £2000 worth for free just by signing up.
 16. PMing for first dibs possibly
 17.
Man, if there was a 5 string version of this, I'd be all over it.
It Djents. lol
 18. I'm going to order one of Dave's awesome IEM cables soon as I like to have my IEMs hardwired but would rather not have more than one cable coming from my instrument. A perfect solution. Oh and I WILL get the pictures above back up again!

 21.
this is a comparison between the sizes. Seems like most tuners on ibanez are the same size (if not all gotohs)
The open gear looks really nice too. I've got a set of Gotoh's 'lightweight offering' on my Shuker 7 string. They are the same shape as the models on your bass but a wee bit lighter: http://g-gotoh.com/international/product/gb350.html

Dont be tempted to get a lightweight one where the wheels fold inward for 'flatpacking'. They dont have the strength or durability for serious cab shifting.
Yup, I have one like this - £18 on eBay if I recall. Brilliant for piling up lightweight gear, but I'm not happy sticking 90Kg on it. 40Kg is more like my largest payload, which is enough for my cabinets, amp and case of leads for sure.
 23. Due to the thoroughly underwhelming demand for such a fine instrument I may as well withdraw it from BassChat. Over £1000 off the price of a new one! You can't give stuff away sometimes! ha!
