Probably Jon Willis or Erik Arkö . I think i have those patches already but yes as you say, I discovered how to route the other connections to act as additional inputs or outputs depending on my needs. very cool.

    Yeah all the new things!

Can anyone say Helix update? I know what I’m up to tomorrow!!!!!!

I’ve been doing similar for over 25 years, maybe more and LT has just made the whole thing easier, so yeah, it can too
  5. Just had a great idea! Seven string, tuned to the major scale. Capo to change key*. maximum salutage per notes! \m/ *and you’d only need about five frets for classic rock lol
  6. As a follow up, I've just checked the manual for any pertinent information and unfortunately there's is no mention of what impedance my interface is happily driving. So that might not be helpful.
  7. I own a set of DT770's @charic. The guidance in this thread is similar to that which helped me make my own choices. However my previous interface wasn't quite up to the job of driving my 80 Ohm model! Looking back though, it wasn't surprising as the device was USB2 powered. Rookie error I suppose. (USB2 simply doesn't have the current to drive and interface and big cans). Thankfully, when the Focusrite Clarett interfaces came out I chatted to our resident expert @Sibob who was able to confirm the the Clarett models have headphone amps' onboard that are designed to power said headphones properly, and that they do. I parted with my cash and have been so pleased with the Focusrite and DT770 pairing. So, in short I agree with Bass Tractor - low impedance for mobile devices and stuff being powered via the USB 2 standard. 80 Ohms is a nice in-between for interfaces with a decent headphone amp on board (external power supply can often suggest being able to drive a higher output too) and the 250 Ohms where you know that there's a PRO standard headphone amp involved. (In the specification I would expect to see something regarding driving ~300 Ohm ear phones)
  8. I had no idea there was a limit!
  9. As Nathan East says: Attitude + Aptitude = Altitude. I love that. In this case I would put Passion in with Attitude, because if I love what I am doing I am way more focussed and driven to make sure I am better at it. That's not to say if I am given work that I'm not as excited about, I don't give it my all; This is my job and I have had excellence drummed in to me from my previous career. Thankfully I've only had the fewest of jobs I wasn't so enamoured with, but lets face it, who wouldn't be happy being able to do what they love with their favourite instrument all day?
  10. I snapped a string once mig gig, but the side effect of playing a six string is that you have five spares to use
  11. I think my most embarrassing moment was the time I did an album release gig on a bass that I'd used (oops) brass screws for my strap locks. Sure, they held out for months, right up until the massive opening of the gig...1!..2!..3!..4! SNAAAAAP. Gaffer tape. Plenty of it too! Lesson well and truly learned!
  12. In seriousness though, it can depend on the part. 16th notes at say 140bpm can be taxing and a position change involving an open string can be very handy It's been a while since I've needed to do that but I'm expecting an album release next month where I'll need to start relearning some of those moves!
  13. Open Strings: Does it Djent. Pretty much always
  14. I think its the Cannon that gets the East circuit due to the Super 8 pickup. The Lionheart models (at least the ones I’ve reviewed) with the Quad pickups have Glockenklang. That could have changed more recently I guess.
  15. And the pre of choice in Dingwall basses, though they do a few adjustments to the pre on certain bass models. i have 4 Glocks and really like them. The only pre I’d really love to get in my basses would be the East UniPre which looks amazing.

Mine went out for its first gig this weekend. I’ve not had any time to set it up properly but I did buy a really nice Flightcase for it. I have a few pedals on the board too because, well, just because.. I used three sounds all night lol! But, it did sound great straight to FOH. I want to create some cool patches when I get time, but if I never get round to it, then it’ll be back to separate pedals for me!
  17. Frustrating eh. The pickups are rock solid, I’ve never had a failure, which of course I am happy about, because I’d be worried for how slow they’d be to help me if something did need looking at.
  18. Can your imagine that!!!! Wow, epic!!
  19. Great pickups. Non-existent CS in the UK, “can’t be bothered” attitude in the US. The ‘Artist Liasion’ guy doesn’t actually reply to messages or being tagged on social media to respond. CS in the UK has never responded to me, ever. I’ve been using EMGs on my basses for over 20 years. If i had the cash, i’d replace the lot. But I don’t so I’m stuck with them.
  20. It isn’t i’m afraid.
  21. Kalium are great but the cost of shipping and import costs are prohibiting.
  22. Newtone have been making my Fan Fret sets and I’ve been really happy with them.
  23. The B string if it were heavy enough gauge you’d be able to ‘try’ the theory out but nothing will be as good as the correct gauge for the job. I use a minimum of 182 for F# and i have a 190 to drop tune to E. D’Addario do a 170 gauge which of course will pair very well with their other sets. I’d recommend giving them a go. I’m just using the last of my Kaliums but after that I will be having Newtone Strings make these custom gauges for me. They are very good!
  24. It’s a lot of fun!
  25. I'm really liking Basschat V2.1! Or is it V3.0? Hmm!
