bass arrived today.apart from rough fret edges I cant fault it.i adjusted the truss rod half a turn and set the action at 2mm on the e string.no buzzes anywhere on the fretboard. I did change the bridge to gotoh 201 and im changing the electrics to a kiogan loom.I might also put a set of dimarzio dp123 because ive got them.for the price its an awesome bass

try changing the strings to ones with a higher tension

once way back when I was poor id saved for ages for a bc rich beast.it arrived on the same day as one of our gigs so I took it still in the cardboard box.at the end of the gig our frontman took off his guitar and smacked it right into the top point taking a huge chunk of paint off.when I kicked off he said well what did you expect its massive.still makes me mad 10 years on

yeah the fender cs pickups are cool

while tuning my dj4 before Fridays gig the g string snapped.i didn't have a spare set of roundwounds but I had a new set of labella flatwounds.so on they went and wow it sounds awesome cant believe its taken me this long to put flats on my jazz

please move if its posted in the wrong section. yesterday I bought a chord iem 16 set as a first step into seeing if I liked in ears.everything goes through the desk and we took the feed for the monitors from aux2 the drums and backing tracks sound fine but the bass sounds awful.very distorted. so can anyone give any advice as to where im going wrong

my vmj has gotoh tuners and bridge and fender 60's cs pick ups.its my main gigging bass with my dj4 as a back up

I thought I was happy with my gear then I saw the elwood absolution in blue burst now I feel I need one in my life

the elwood 4a absolution blue burst is next on my list its one good looking bass

its a no from me.but that no covers all solos not just bass.as a youngster I always jumped at the chance to go see metallica.usually a great show until the solos they were boring/dull and seemed never ending.id rather they just played 3 or 4 more songs

our drummer uses a YAMAHA DTX950K Series kit and tbh its been a god send.if the landlord says its to loud its easy to turn down.it also sounds really good.the only thing is its looks

lets hope the build quality isn't the same as the mb range of amps and cabs.if it is it will weigh a ton and break really easy
