  1. 50th birthday bump (my 50th anniversary not the combo)........
  2. I recommend a little crumble and to hell with the consequences.
  3. Thanks. It's a cracking bass in amazing condition - I'd say its probsbly ungigged.
  4. The figured neck, recessed neck plate and mute bridge were a feature of the first run of Ernie Ball MM Sterling basses. They changed after only a year or so.
  5. Hi Skezza. Not really up for trades as I'm selling up all my gear due to stopping playing. PM me with details if you're after trading something against it - you never know..... Thanks Vin
  6. Thanks fir getting in touch. I'm not really interested in trades as I'm stopping playing completely (due to ill health) but PM me if you have something that you fancy trading. You never know........ Cheers Vin
  7. Price drop BUMP
  8. Price drop again. I've got 4 basses up for grabs so something has to give.....
  9. Weighing in at 9 pounds. It's beautiful and amazing to play. I'm genuinely gutted to sell up as I'd only recently got my perfect line up basses; Geddy Lee USA jazz, MM Sterling, Jaguar and a P lyte and they've all got to go.
  10. The only rival was my Modulus VJ4 but even that was a little sterile compared to The Geddy.
  11. Although I'm retiring from playing I played this at home last night and it's too nice. So I'm keeping it! So you've missed this collectors item........ 1992 USA Musicman Sterling 4 string bass in natural satin lacquered finish with tortoiseshell pick guard (and replacement after market guard too) with Musicman hard shell case. This is an extremely rare issue as it has a highly figured maple neck, recessed neck plate, mute pad bridge (pads are off as the action is so low) and chrome battery cover - all of which were features of the first run of USA Musicman Sterling basses and only like this for a year or so. It's in great condition with extremely light play wear and hardly any fret wear. The bass has only just been set up with new strings, fret polish and fret board oiling with Ged Green in Manchester. It plays superbly. The hardware does show signs of being 25 years old with a bit of tarnishing and the body has a couple of surface marks which would probably rub / polish out. It features a 1.5" neck width at the nut, 3 band Eq and parallel / series / phantom coil 3 way toggle switch. The array of sounds is massive compared to the Stingray. It's lighter, has a narrower neck and is uber playable. It is a superb bass and if I wasn't retiring with immediate effect it would be staying with me but I cannot justify keeping an expensive bass if I'm not playing. In Cheshire but can post or meet up (withing a 60 mile or so radius of Chester).
  12. Ouch. That hurt like hell. I nearly cried but it's gone to a good home. Thanks Jay. This is going to hurt but I have had to abruptly stop playing and so up for grabs is my immaculate 2015 Geddy Lee USA Fender Jazz Bass with all the case candy and original USA deluxe case. In black with oiled maple neck with white pearloid block inlays, white pearloid scratch plate, Geddy Lee signature high mass bridge and 2 vintage voiced custom USA pick ups. It is by far the best jazz bass I've owned and probably the best bass I've owned. Far superior to the Mex and Jap versions it is simply joyous to play. It's so nice that I wouldn't gig it so it's barely been out of the house since I imported it. As such, there are no dings, scratches, no buckle rash, chips or any signs of it being anything other than new. Here's what they say; Fender's US Geddy Lee Jazz Bass takes three of Geddy's favorite instruments and fuses them into one hot-rodded model. Custom-voiced American Vintage '70s Geddy Lee pickups deliver fat low end and classic J Bass growl. The large profile maple neck has a hand-rubbed oil finish on the back, a 9.5" fretboard radius, and flashy white pearloid block inlays. A Geddy Lee High Mass bridge offers rock-solid tuning stability and intonation. The Fender US Geddy Lee Jazz Bass gives you best of Geddy's personal basses in a single bass that's ready rock. One of the most important changes on the US Geddy Lee Jazz Bass is the addition of Fender custom-voiced American Vintage '70s Geddy Lee pickups. These pickups have been designed to sound just like Geddy's original 1972 Jazz Bass. Fender wound these pickups to give you the punch, mid-range, bass and output you know and love. Perfect for all styles of music, these pickups give you a fat low end, tons of thump, and that iconic Jazz Bass growl. I can vouch for the growl and playability. Even if you're not a Geddy Lee fan and love jazz basses then this is an amazing bass. Custom shop quality IMHO. I'm in Cheshire but will post or meet up withing 60 miles of Chester. Shipping will be pricey as it will have to be insured
  13. Bump for the best sounding 2 x 10 ever
  14. Now £525. Up for sale due to retirement from playing is this immaculate 7 year old made in Japan black Fender Jaguar bass with amourdillo hard case. A great all round bass with jazz pick ups, active / passive control, bass / treble boost in active mode, serial / parallel switch, pickup 1 and 2 on / off switches, master volume / master tone. All you could need all in one bass it has that vintage vibe with pearloid block onlays on the jazz width rosewood neck (1.5" at the nut for extra comfort). Serial number T04967* dates it at between 2007 - 2010 but I think it's 2010. Reluctant sale but nothing I can do. Have had to hang up the boots due to illness. £525. Based in Cheshire. Can post deliver or meet within north west. Will post but it will be insured so about £35.]
