  1. Boy that’s a big control cavity.
  2. I could change this post to "what's your best ever misspelt bargain".
  3. Alright..... I didn’t see those posts and just thought I’d say my bit. True about spelling mistakes though. I bagged a brand new car “trailor” off eBay with no watchers and no bidders for an absolute bargain and imho it’s just as good as a trailer..... Shame fender is so easy to spell.
  4. I could list loads of basses on eBay with spelling mistakes and I know auto correct tries its best to tie us in knots sometimes but seriously, if you’re trying to sell a bass with squier on the headstock then don’t advertise it as a squire....... Is it only me? It is cloudy. Maybe I’m feeling grumpy......
  5. I’ve been newly exposed to this chap’s creations and conversions but did wonder what he’s done to offend (apart from the obvious weirdosity of his creations). Looking at his eBay feedback he can’t be doing too much wrong as he’s achieved 1583 feedback score all of which are positive. I wouldn’t mind that score for trading instruments.
  6. Is it 4 or 8 ohm?
  7. Glad it was closed. I sent a link of the original ad to the seller. I’m sure that had something to do with it being withdrawn......
  8. Oh really. Glad I raised it. I have reported it as suspect to eBay but people are bidding. Maybe this post can help a fellow basschatter who may be bidding.....
  9. At first glance this looked like a genuine ad by someone selling something they knew nothing about. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F362414758639 However, since it’s a lovely select USA jazz I thought I’d back check and the same photos were used to sell the same bass on 27th July in the US of A. The seller claims not know much about it as it was his uncles piece. I can’t attach the completed listing but search completed items with fender Jazz amber burst and it comes up. So, as it’s located in the Isle of Skye, cash on collection, is it genuine or is it a scam (although I can’t think what scam it would be for cash on collection)? Oh yeah and they created their account with a flurry of small purchases on 6th August. Me smells a rat. Maybe. Maybe it’s an attempt to boost the flagging visitor numbers to the Isle of Skye now it rains there every day again. I'm a bit confused......
  10. Closed for £23. For a mag 250 head and a trace 410 cab. Surely a bargain for old school, DI allergic bassists....
  11. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F273375532572 Sorely tempted to have a day out in the lakes and bring home an Ashdown head and Trace 410 cab. An hour to go though.......
  12. Would it be worth me noting that there's a mandarin just appeared for sale in the forum?
  13. Honestly I'm grapeful that the post getting everyone's juices flowing.
  14. Glad to see this post is losing its a peel. Frankly it was becoming rotten to the core.
  15. Good job I’ve got a thick skin..........😁
  16. I hope nobody is taking the pith?
  17. Sure thing. I’ll take some pics and maybe report back on it when I get it.
  18. My offer was accepted. Personalised orange bass on its way for mr orange.......
  19. I couldn’t help but put an offer in on it. All reviews seem pretty good, it’s a bit unusual, it’s orange and, well, it has my name on the headstock.
  20. Orange. My favourite colour. And being my surname I must surely add it to the collection......
  21. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323364749294 The style is errrr eclectic maybe?
  22. I could do with getting this gone before my hold so price now £30 posted.....that's cheap for an EMG pup isn't it? For sale EMG active precision pickup just taken out of a hybrid bass that really should have stayed as a jazz but that's another story..... Was working fine when I rescued the jazz bass. As the jazz was from the late 80s and the pup was in it from new (ish) I'm assuming this is one if the original EMG active precision pups plus the newer ones have terminal block connections I think. Condition is OK, used and not mint by any means with part of the EMG having rubbed off. Wiring instructions can be found online. Now £40 including UK postage. Will post anywhere though.
  23. It’s easy to report the item to eBay. open up the item, check for that dodgy advert type I mentioned above and the in the top right corner there are 3 dots next to the shopping basket. Click the 3 dots and one of the options from the drop down menu is to report the item to eBay. I choose “listing practices, fraudulent activity and you suspect the item is fraudulent” and submit. The window looks like the pic below.
  24. This is what the ads always look like. Any like this are fraudulent;
