  1. Me too but it’s not been pulled by eBay. In fact I think he may have relisted it himself and once again there are a lot of bids. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F273610910548 Very annoying as I’ve emailed him and he said he wasn’t a guitar expert but would wait to see what other people thought before doing anything.
  2. It’s back up with a different seller who also doesn’t know much about guitars. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F312377086090
  3. It’s lovely to see an expert at work. Genius.
  4. Bass direct had a very similar FMT about this time last year priced at £1250.
  5. £675 posted for a brilliant example of the Geddy Lee CIJ Jazz.
  6. I was open to trades but then something happened (GAS induced trigger finger) so I’d rather sell it straight. If there’s anything 4 string and Fendery with cash my way then I may be interested.
  7. That’s too cheap for a Japanese 62 re-issue. Should have been snapped up by now as these are brilliant basses. Have a bump from me.
  8. A little price tweak. £725 posted for the best Geddy Lee Jazz I’ve ever played including USA models. This is seriously good and sounds amazing. I’ve had it in a shoot out with my 2 Aerodyne Jazz basses and a vintage Jap Jazz loaded with GL 72 reissue pickups and it beats them by a country mile.
  9. Up for sale is my rare 2001 Non export Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass in very good condition and with Fender padded gig bag. £600 including UK postage. I say rare but I’ve now got 2 for sale, one in black and this one in old candy apple red. This non export version of the Aerodyne Jazz differs slightly from the export version in that it has a 3 ply pickguard, chrome hardware and a front mounted control plate. As pe4 other aerodynes it features a radiused, carved basswood Jazz Bass body with cream binding, matching painted headstock, very slim C shape Jazz Bass neck (1.5” at the nut), with a 20-fret stained rosewood fingerboard with aged pearloid dot inlays and P/J pickups. Some say that the reason that these are non export is that they are better quality than many US Fender basses. Mine has just had a full set up including minor fret level, crown and polish, lemon oil fretboard treatment and new rotsound strings. It plays really nicely with low action, no fre5 rattles or buzzes and sounds great. It’s very light - around 7.5 lbs. Condition wise it’s in great shape with the exception of 2 body dings at the bottom near the strap pin. They’ve chipped the paint and can be seen but are quite minor. I’m going to try to source a matched paint so the chips can be filled. Also some of the chrome shows very minor tarnishing but it has all been polished so looks great. Comes with a high quality Fender padded gig bag. Can be tried out, examined / collected from near Chester. Will post out via UPS, double boxed for added protection.
  10. SOLD Up for sale only is my immaculate and wonderful playing 2004 Crafted in Japan Fender Geddy Lee Signature Jazz Bass with original Fender padded gig bag. All basses are created equal but some are more equal than others. I’ve had 5 Japanese Geddy Lee basses and this one plays miles better than the others. I don’t know why but it feels and sounds amazing - a different league than my other GL signatures. Whoever gets this will be extremely pleased. The GL signature features a wonderfully skinny neck which is 1.5” at the nut with black binding and block inlays (the early Jap ones are real block inlays not painted on), amazingly gnarly USA 72 reissue jazz pickups, a badass II bridge, cloth wired cts pots and it weighs in at 8.5lbs. This has just been set up with new rotosound rounds, the back of the gloss neck has been knocked back a little with 0000 grade steel wool so it plays as smooth as an oiled neck and it plays brilliantly. It has had one very minor tiny ding near the bridge pickup which has been filled with black gloss, sanded flat and polished so is unnoticeable from further than a foot away (depends on your vision of course). The rest is almost like it’s unplayed, no fret wear, no other scratches or swirls. Amazing condition and playing. Im based near Chester so it can be tried, inspected or collected. I can meet up, deliver or ship it insured double boxed with UPS. Here’s what Fender say; The bass features an alder body, a C-shaped maple neck with a maple fingerboard with black binding and black rectangular inlays. Also featuring two vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickups. Fender Product OverviewMean, mean stride! The Geddy Lee Jazz Bass guitar is an exact replica of the tonally singular instrument that Rush's revered bassist/vocalist has riffed away on in front of thousands of devoted fans worldwide and on many a mega-selling album. The bass has an alder body; the one-piece C-shaped maple neck (thin) has a maple fingerboard with black binding and black rectangular inlays. The two vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickups crackle with life and bristle with the energy.Other features include chrome hardware, vintage-style tuning machines and a Fender hi-mass bridge. - 665427. Body: Alder Neck: 1-Piece Maple, Thin "C" Shape,(Gloss Polyurethane Finish) Fingerboard: Maple, 9.5" Radius (241mm) No. of Frets: 20 Medium Jumbo Frets Pickups: 2 Vintage Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups
  11. Big ornamental nails. Apparently. So yep he's nailed things on that lovely black bass body......
  12. There was a blueshift on eBay recently compete and in good condition but it didn’t get any bids at a £300 starting price.
  13. I take it when they say body only they mean the neck too....... The seller takes no quibble returns within 14 days so all safe on the truss rod front you’d think?
  14. I’ve had export aerodynes and this is definitely better. It plays very well, is so light and sounds huge. I don’t know whether the pickups are different from the export version?
  15. I found the issue was that my pickups were out of phase. My treble pickup was really thin and when both pups were on full it exacerbated the normal volume drop. Once the treble polarity was reversed I’ve now got a decent balanced tone!
