East Uni-pre 4 knob preamp for sale. It was in my Fender FMT jazz which mainly lives in its case so has seen barely any use. The kit comes with everything you need to run an on board preamp except for a battery or 2 (can run 9v or 18v) and a set of knobs. It is a 4 pot version with a volume / blend board with stacked pot, bass / treble board with stacked pot (with push pull for added brightness), mid board with stacked pot for frequency / boost or cut and passive tone module with single pot. The stereo jack is prewired too. All the modules plug in and the connections are all solderless via mini connectors. The only soldering required is for the ground wire to a suitable ground on the guitar. It’s a fantastic preamp but as I’m selling the FMT I’m returning it to stock. Here’s some blurb from Johns website: The UNI-PRE 4 Knob is a new generation bass preamp system from East UK. It’s a brand new design that sets new standards with unique features, designed to fit virtually any bass which has 4 knobs with rear cavity electronics. The modular construction makes for easy installation, with simple plug connections between modules. External wiring, such as pickups and power, are simply connected using screw terminals.

I think it’s 34” scale. I’m sure one of my fenders arrived in it.

Set of 4 100 to 40 gauge D'Addario chrome flatwound strings cut 2 a side and taken from a Spector euro. E and G cut to 110cm, A and D cut 116cm. Look in very good condition and pretty unused (as is the bass they came from).

I put the East pre in as the fender one was so average. The East is such a great addition.

I really would rather not sell this as I searched for it for years but our impending house move forces sale. 2004 Fender USA jazz deluxe in cherry burst with gorgeous flame maple top, gold hardware, block inlays, 22 frets and a big upgrade of an East 3 band preamp. It has the skinniest neck, weighs under 4kg, plays like a dream, is in near mint condition including the gold hardware and comes in the original G&G deluxe case. It really is a beauty but I need to downsize. I should add that it benefits from a recent fret level, crown and polish with new D’Addario prosteels. It honestly plays like a dream. It also has some ne of the best book matched flame tops I’ve seen….. Can deliver or meet up an hour from the Wirral or will post anywhere. Thanks for looking.

Up for sale is my 45 year old 1980 Fender Precision Elite in excellent condition with the exception of one lacquer ding on the bottom edge. Set up beautifully it weighs in at a meaty 4.3kgs, has a wider profile 43mm nut width but somehow plays brilliantly Features are single split coil pickup, active boost electronics, schaller fine tune bridge, and gold hardware which is in remarkably good nick for a 45 year old. Comes in an equally vintage and robust hard case. I should add that it benefits exits from a recent fret level, crown and polish plus it has new D’Addario prosteels. This is the best sounding P I’ve owned thanks to the subtle active circuit. I'll be sad to see it go but our impending house move forces a bit of a clear out. Can meet up within an hour of The Wirral or deliver anywhere (surely no courier could penetrate this case and even if they did, the bass would fight back.....)

Now £2000 including Uk postage. Up for sale is my 2019 Rickenbacker 4003s in limited edition pillar box red. Unusually for a Ric these came with a maple fretboard. Bass is near mint condition, set up nicely it plays great and sounds as only a Ric can. Apparently there were only 25 of these made for the UK market so it is a bit of a rarity. It comes with the Ric certificate and all the tags too. There are a few very tiny lacquer chips on the bottom edge. I couldn't really see them let alone photograph them but they are there somewhere. They are only the top coat of lacquer so not through the paint at all. The case has typical Ric case single foot damage but other than that the bass is mint condition. Weighs in at 4.2kg. Sale only as I need to downsize due to our impending house move. I can meet an up to an hour from The Wirral or ship anywhere.

Surprisingly light at just under 4.1kg!

Possible trade for a P or P/J 4 string with jazz width neck or thereabouts…….must be cash my way though. Up for sale only is this rather excellent Crafted in Japan vintage white 62 reissue Fender jazz bass with upgraded Nordstrand NJ4 pickups (£160 upgrade). It also has the threaded bridge for better string spacing adjustment. It benefits from a recent fret level, crown and polish with a new set of D'Addario pro steels on. The gloss neck has also been knocked back with zero grade wire wool for a less sticky experience! Those glossy Fender necks do get a bit sticky. Plays excellently, sounds great and looks probably even better in the best colour combo (imho). Comes in a quality padded gig bag although I'm trying to source a case for it so may update the ad. Weighing in at 4.1kg it's surprisingly light. That is not an anarchy symbol in the last pic, it's a reflection of my light fitting (although maybe it's an anarchic light fitting). Brand new kickass black 4 string, 5 hole standard Fender bridge drop in replacement. Bought for one of my basses and then realised my bass was string through. Rather a school boy error..... £60 shipped within the UK.

Up for sale is my 24 fret Korean made Spector Legend P/J bass with 3 band EMG preamp, EMG pickups, gold hardware and quilt maple top (or is it a veneer?) in Amber burst. Made between 2004 and 2006 these were a limited run before manufacture of legends switched. It's a rarity for Spector basses to have a 1.5" nut width but that's why I bought it. It's a delight to play having had a recent fret level, crown, polish and new D'Addario prosteels. Plays fantastic all the way to the dusty 24th fret. Comes in a Freestyle case which is, well, OK.... Only faults are one very minor filled ding to the headstock face and one snapped control cavity screw. Straight sale preferred. Can courier or meet within an hour of the wirral. Thanks for looking.

Well since you mention it, having got the bass out and seen it in the sunlight again, I'm having severe 2nd thoughts. It's gorgeous. I'll see what happens but I think I'd be as happy to keep it.

It wasn't the Ric's fault. I got a nasty bout of food poisoning and as a result managed to acquire a double inguinal hernia. The Ric is 4.2kg on the kitchen scales.
