1. Hi Skezza I'm not really looking for trades - I'd rather sell only - but as ever drop me a PM if you've got anything interesting. Thanks Vin
2. I recently renewed my fascination with Eden products and found a very cheap Eden Metro combo. The speakers were knackered but the amp is working ok. I have popped in 2 new speakers and so far do good but I want an amp tech to give it a dammed good service (we all need one every now and again) before I let it loose at volume. Based near delamere but will take it a reasonable distance for a recommendation. Thanks
3. Giraffes are huge so it's less than one..... Actually it's a vet bed rug for our 2 dogs......
4. I'm wondering whether I've cocked up on price. Looking at previous sales it's the 550b that goes for £550 or so and the 750a is more like worth £750. I've never revised a price upwards though........
5. Reduced to £350 and possible trade is my wonderful lightweight Zoot cab. It's loaded with 4 x 10" 300w lightweight celestion neodymium drivers, controllable high frequency horn, and weighs in at a very managable 23kg. It's superb and has been used sparingly between me and it's previous owner. I've gigged it a dozen times or so and it had virtually no use with its previous owner. The celestion drivers - if you could get 300w neos - would cost about £500 for 4 so you get a free crossover, horn and cabinet and £150 to spend. Based in Cheshire but can meet up, deliver or ship. Spiel from a post I found on the Zoot cab; Zoot Bass Guitar cabinets are hand built in the UK. Constructed from an ultra light-weight high grade birch plywood developed exclusively for Zoot. The design blends top of the range custom Celestion neo drivers, Eminence tweeter and Eminence crossovers that guarantee fantastic sound and sensitivity, Zoot bass are highly acclaimed manufacturers of Bass Guitars and have applied the same Bass Guitar experience to produce a great sounding 4x10" cab that weighs less than 23.5kg. Other features include Gig resistant carpeted covering, high impact plastic corners, recessed carry handles, tough metal grille. "Excellent value for money try and find a lighter 4x10 that has a comparable heavyweight sound."
6. Up for sale only is my Tech 21 Bass fly rig - a superb DI / multi effects bag of superb sounding tricks. Acquired on here (from Stealth) only a month or two ago since which I've sold a lot of stuff and almost entirely changed my set up and found I don't really need it in my set up now. Featuring at its core the Sansamp character control, 3 band eq, drive control for grind, octafilter, chorus, compressor, boost and a tuner for free too. It's in as new condition on account of never having been out of my house nor Stealth's (see prior link http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1) Comes in its original funky Tech 21 tin, with original power supply, instructions and unregistered warranty card. £200 posted. Pics to follow
7. Up for grabs is a kiogon harness that was on my precision lyte. I've been in touch with john to check and it's a 3 alpha mini pot version so could suit any 2 pick up bass with the right number of holes for controls..... Orientation is volume, volume, tone and has a switch craft jack socket. £20 shipped
8. Rare Fender F type witches hat knobs. They were used on Precision lyte and Elite basses. I have only one left. Seems they are sought after. £12.50 each incl uk postage.
9. Bought brand new and never fitted is this hazz bass control plate with volume, blend and tone control, the volume being a push / pull pot to engage series or parallel operation of your jazz pups. It supposedly adds precision bass like thump to your jazz bass. A great upgrade that I'm not going do as I'm downsizing and getting rid of any spares I won't be using. I never got round to fitting it so it's brand new. Will come with wiring instructions. £15 posted Thanks for looking
10. Thanks. It is and plays really well. I had decided I was a Precision man. And then changed my mind. Again. If I can find a Jap Jag then my precision lyte will be offski too. GAS has a lot to answer for.
11. Up for Sale for £350 (or possible trade only for a MIJ Jaguar bass with cash your way) is this immaculate, Made in Mexico 2011 Anniversary Year Precision Bass. Now includes Gator foam padded hard case. The bass comes with original Fender high mass bridge, is in candy apple metallic red and has a black pick guard fitted which I think is after market. It weighs a touch under 9 pounds so is nice and light. The neck is a brand new All Parts Jazz neck with 38mm nut. It's finished in gloss nitro on the fret board and satin nitro on the back of the neck. The outline of the logo is practically invisible but if you look really really really hard you can just see the outline. It's just been set up by a local guitar tech, has brand new Warwick Red Label strings on and sounds superb. It plays nice and fast - no chunky P bass neck here, just a slim, fast Jazz bass neck........ The body is pretty much unmarked too with a couple of minor swirls on the back. It is a superb P bass. As a bonus and for provenance it has the original P bass neck which has a crack in the fret board visible on the higher frets. I am assured it's knackered but it's with it for provenance or somebody may be able to repair the truss rod / fret board. Anyway it's with it. As for possible trades, the only thing I would consider is a Japanese Jaguar bass - with cash your way. Based in Delamere, Cheshire if you want to give it a whirl. Can be shipped, delivered within a reasonable distance or can meet up.

13. I say never been played... Apparently it was bought for the seller's husband by his father in the 90s. He tried it, didn't get anywhere and then put it into storage - in the loft....... It had a nice general gunky layer of dusty muck if that's a way to describe it and the frets were heavily tarnished. I guess I would too be if I'd been in a loft for 20 years.
14. Just an update on this bass! All hardware been polished now, frets polished, rosewood board cleaned and lemon oiled (that took at least 5 hours to get 20 years of crap off the wood), loose wire in preamp soldered, new strings on, body lightly 0000 guage wool polished and set up by Ged Green in Cheadle. Ged's words "it's never been played". Result for a 24 year old bass. Will post some pics soon.
15. Yep strange and I can't find any like it or any images of a fender one like it. Works well though. Maybe I should include unique in the title!
