    40hz Feedback

I bought a Reverend bass from Simon. Met at a Travelodge car park. All on time and Comms great throughout. Bass exactly as described - chuffed with it. Many thanks
  2. Bought a genz benz 212 from Vin. Had to be posted and was with me the next day - well packaged too. Pleasure to deal with
  3. @DaleASmith bought a Dr Q pedal from me. Paid instantly and great Comms. Thanks
  4. Sold Tomas a hx stomp. Nice easy transaction. I would recommend. Cheers Alex
  5. Hx stomp for sale. Bought this in as new condition off here about a month ago - here's the original add. Used it maybe for 5 hours, stuck a preset on it and used it at 1 jam. I don't think it's for me. Still got original box and it's all still mint.

  6. Another deal with Lozz, he bought my zoom ms60b pedal. Instant payment and excellent Comms throughout. Cheers Alex
  7. Back up for sale. This is now definitely surplus to requirements. Great condition for age.
  8. Bought this pedal from here a few weeks ago in 'barely used' condition. I was a bit worried in terms of quality as it's digital, but stuck it on my board and was really impressed with it. So much so that I decided to upgrade to hx stomp and my other analogue pedals maybe working there way on this forum soon. Anyway, I would like to get back what I paid for it. Its had maybe 3 hours use since I bought it. Perfect condition. Price is £60 plus postage
  9. Cool little pedal. Price includes delivery.
  10. Nope, my mistake. Thanks for the heads up!
  11. I may regret this, but here's a fender ultra jazz bass available for sale or trade. It's a brilliant bass, sounds great in both active and passive, has a fantastic neck and is finished in cobra blue. Specs for these basses can be found online. So why am I looking to trade? I don't think the metallic cobra blue finish is really me (as cool as it is). In terms of trades I'd be fairly open to a lot of basses. Has to be 4 strings & In terms of pick up config, anything but a p config (I've got a cool p bass already). Bass can be worth less or slightly more than this and we could make up the difference in cash.
  12. Just bought a hx stomp from Frank, which he delivered free of charge & immediately. Great guy to deal with. Thanks
  13. Just purchased a zoom ms 60-b. Item as described, super fast delivery and great comms throughout
  14. Cheers Bill. Great info
  15. To achieve mutual coupling, woofer center to center needs to be less than 1/2 wavelength - is that right? So what distance do woofers on bass need to be apart ideally? Also, does that mean that a traditional 410 (2 stacks of 2) is better than 4 speakers in a vertical array, because of the greater distance between the bottom speaker and top speaker in a vertical array?
  16. Yes, it is one of 2 cabs I'll use. I can go 2 x 115 or 1 X 210 & 1 X 115. Ideally I'd like the 210 on top to bring the tweeter closer to my ears, but the base of the 210 is deeper than the 115 (no tweeter)
  17. Is there much difference in dispersion etc, if I stack a tweetered 210 vertically (tweeter top center between the 2 10 inch drivers when cab horizontal)? I don't hear a huge difference standing next to it.
  18. Stick a back plate on and itll look better & might be useful to store cables, etc.
  19. @Marcus Cornallsounds like you are at the start of a journey most of us have been through (and are still on). I certainly didn't get it right first time and I'm guessing it's the same for many others. I think some excellent advice here, particularly from Bill. I think the most important thing is to trust your ears and go and listen/play through some of these cabs. I bought some high end cabs and on paper they were perfect (and others absolutely love them), but I really didn't like them. I ended up with cabs at a fraction of the price and I'm pretty pleased with them. Of the cabs I tried, the Aguilar dB range seemed to go pretty low. They are heavy, but they do have a lightweight range - I haven't tried those yet. I've always found the markbass stuff pretty good too.
  20. Just a quick question, I've bought some additional feet and am looking to stack my cabs vertically - that wont affect sound/dispersion etc to the point where its detrimental?
  21. If this isn't gone by Friday it will be withdrawn and I'll keep for myself. Cheers, Alex
  22. Would also be good to hear from some good players (but not necessarily virtuosos) I'm thinking Colin Greenwood, Alex James, Simon Gallup, John Taylor and so on
  23. JPJ, Geezer Butler, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Tim Comerford.... I'm sure you'll get loads of bass players recommendations, but I'd also be interested to get my geek on and hear from others in the industry like amp or pedal manufacturers. Mark gooday or Alex Barefaced spring to mind just cos there UK based.
  24. I never had zoom down as pro gear. I may have to re-evaluate, cos they are great value for money (not that I'm a pro!)
  25. @devinebass I think you're onto a winner with that relaxed top gear style format. You and Ian (who seems like the most sound dude ever!) are a great partnership.
