2.
Nice one Higgie! This is on my list of "to-do's" but hadn't got around to it yet. Love this track and Tom Barney's playing!
Cheers! Feel free to use it on your site if you wanna correct it.
  3. Haha, thanks Pete Some Steely Dan to follow this week, so watch this space...
  4. Added some new videos to my Channel! Aeroplane, Show Me Your Soul, and Mellowship Slinky in B Major by the Chili Peppers, and Rosanna by Toto! Here's a little taster Any comments/crits much appreciated. Cheers
  5. You could definitely fit the Xerograph on there. Just have to bunch some pedals a bit closer to each other. It seems all the pedals on the bottom row have jacks on the top of the pedal, so just move everything to the right, and have everything up against eachother. I reckon you'd get the Xero on then! Quality board by the way, very nice indeed.
  6.
Analogman, accept nothing else
+1 I've had 3 of them. I bought the Mini Chorus with Deep mod, wasn't using it so I sold it. Then regretted it and waited ages for another one. I kept missing them, so finally settled on the normal size Chorus with the 3 way switch. Then another Mini came up so I sold the normal sized one to buy the Mini Chorus with Deep Mod again! Nothing wrong with the big box one, just needed more pedalboard space at the time! Seriously, go AnalogMan. Best Chorus pedal for Bass that I've found.
  7.
Well, I have been after an unlined fretless Musicman Stingray in Tobacco Burst with a black pickguard for some time. Couldn't locate one anywhere in that spec, so had one ordered in the next Ernie Ball production run. Order was placed Feb 15th and I received the UPS tracking details today with an anticipated delivery date for 16th May - yippee!!! I'll post some pics when it turns up safe and sound.
Awesome news Kev. Finally getting an authentic "Pino" bass eh? 3 band or 2 band EQ?
  8. Had a request for this via PM. Not perfect I don't think, as I did it quickly quite a while ago, but should give you more than a head start!
  9.
I'm surprised at your thoughts on the XXL. I've not tried it personally (my gf promised me one for christmas but it still hasn't appeared ) but when I spoke to the guy from Karnivool he said it didn't require a clean blend as the pedal didn't cut any low end. Are you using the guitar or bass version?
+1. Both Bass XXLs I've had were massively low end friendly.

I'll check them out.

Does anyone have a 1290 size enclosure spare that they could sell? Preferably pre-drilled for 3 knobs, footswitch, input, output, 9vdc and led? It'd be a great help rather than having to wait and order something in from the States Cheers
  12.
Thanks for the information Higgie! - I'd never thought about 'DC Pump' before and usually stuck with separate PSU's. That'll lighten the rack unit a bit!
No problem Dood!
  13. That is gorgeous. Always wanted a PJ fretless...and that one is the real deal! Congrats on a lovely bass.
  14. WDMusic is your best bet I reckon. Although I emailed them with a query and they didn't even reply
  15. Awesome pedal! Wish I could buy it back
  16.
4 = square (wave) , good call i've tried other octavers (the aguilar is more natural) but nothing beats an oc-2, so far..
I find the Aguilar to get really OC-2ish when you roll the octave filter to the right for the more growly synthy tone. It's more natural on the left side of the knob, but on the right it's just down right filthy!
  17. Yup - Had one myself. It isolates that one output of the Daisy Chain and then doubles the voltage to give you an 18v supply for just one pedal. Great little unit.
  18. SOLD to the man in the hat! <------- ie, Me
  19.
I have three pickguards from OLP MM2 Stingray basses that I don't need. All used, but good condition. 2x white/black/white 3-ply 1x black/white/black 3-ply Looking for £8 each delivered.
Do these fit standard EBMM SR4's? Cheers
  20.
When our beloved OldGit had his Shuker P5 built, he had the LED switch housed in the battery box surround on the back. OK so it meant that you had to take the bass off to switch them on/off, but that's when you do it anyway, right? It was a neat idea and kept the front of the bass clean. Another idea possibly worth pursuing... how about having a push/pull switch on the volume knob and using this as your ac/pas switch? That's what Jon did for my LED switch. If you had a push/pull and the OldGit LED switch idea, you'd only need to find space for one actual flick switch on the front of the bass. Much cleaner.
That's what I'd do. I'd probably use another of the knobs as a push/pull for the LEDs though, that way everything would be easy to access on the front of the bass. Volume and Active/Passive on one knob, Balance, Bass, and then Push/Pull on the Treble pot to turn the LED's on. Well, depending on which knob would be furthest away. I personally would use layout 2, and have the kill switch in the middle somewhere, if you're just going to use it to mute the Bass. I'd relocate it if you were going for some Tom Morello style kill switch madness
  21.
Indeed Now Sold, many thanks
Just my luck
  22. This is killing me. I don't think I've ever had more GAS for a bass. Seriously if I hadn't just lost my job, I'd be getting a credit card just to nab this baby. I'm so gutted
  23. I had this problem too. Switched the Pickup out for a Nordstrand MM4.2 - Problem solved! It's a faithful recreation of a Pre-EB Stingray pickup, and I must say it sounds fantastic! So much so, that as soon as I bought my fretless, I didn't even try it with the stock pickup. I'd bought another pickup before the bass even arrived, and just had it put straight in. No regrets whatsoever
