1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1ezQ0S0508 My cover of this classic tune!
2. Was trying to get the money together but it sold out before I could. Gutted
3. I don't know why it's uploaded with that file extension. If you open it with a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader it should open fine! Let me know if it doesn't and I'll try and convert it to a different format.
4.
Nice board. How do you find the Octamizer? I wonder if it would do a better job than the EBS one that I use? I run my Sadowsky at the start of the signal chain, how come you run yours at the end? Is the Loopmaster Patcher purely for tidiness purposes?
Octamizer is wicked. Ousted the good old OC2 from my board anyhow! I just love the fact you have tone controls for both the octave and clean signal. Makes for a really versatile Octaver! The Sadowsky goes at the end because it seemed to act funny with my fuzz pedal. I like to use it as a Mute too, so I figured the end of the chain would be best. Might have to experiment a bit more with it! And yeah, the LoopMaster unit just makes it easier to route my cables by having both jacks coming from the same place.
5.
WHATTTT? How did you do that dude?!
I'm not even sure I did now. I was getting a horrendous sound out of the cab the night after the gig, so I bought these. Plugged the cab in today and it sounded fine! Oh well, least I have some spares now if anything does blow up
6. Haven't updated this for a while! This is the board I've been using lately. Signal chain is: Bass > Aguilar TLC > Aguilar Octamizer > MojoHand Cream Pie > X-Blender (Swollen Pickle Clone > Subdecay Proteus in the loop) > Sadowsky Pre (Korg DT-10 from Tuner Out) > Aguilar DB750 The whole board is in a LoopMaster Patcher to make things neater, with my In and Out from the board in one place. It's a PedalTrain Jnr with a Diago Power Station powering the whole board. Also, the little grey unit with the pick holder on is a 1 in, 2 out passive splitter I used to use when I had a bigger board. I velcro'd my pick holder to it for a convenient place to store my picks - I had no use for it's actual function on this board but there was space for it, so I put it on there anyway Some excellent boards posted here! Shep your boards are awesome! The only thing about them I don't envy is the weight!
7. Here ya go dude. Got a load of Muse scores that I found on the web somewhere, so if you need any more, just ask! It's notated for EADG, but just play it down the octave or with an octave pedal and you're good to go!
8. Haha! Cheers guys!
9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6z5180CHXlU Probably my favourite Chili Peppers track - great bass work in this one! Here's my mediocre attempt at it
10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=596vdEUpBL4 Not entirely happy with this one, my pick playing is probably my weakest area. Gonna redo it at some point, but in the mean time...here ya go!
11. Thanks guys!
12. Really enjoyed this actually. Well shot video, and a pretty cool groove! Like the singer's voice too. They did a good job!
13. Cheers Joe!
14. Hi mate, firstly thanks a lot! It's a great tune to play. I use a PJB Bass Buddy, so I have my bass, and a line from my iMac going into the Aux in, so I hear the track and myself. I then run the Line Out (which only takes the Bass input and not the Aux) and run that into the Line In on a Lexicon Alpha. It's not the best interface in the world, but it's cheap and cheerful and gets the job done. That is a USB interface so no power required, it just runs direct into the Mac. I record in Logic, add a bit of whatever I fancy with the plugins (EQ/Compresson/what have you). Then I just bounce the tracks into one stereo track, and align it with the video thats been recording the whole time. Export to YouTube and it's done. There's probably better interfaces out there for not much more money (I'm dying for an Apogee Duet but they're SOOO pricey) but for now this does the job pretty well with no hassle Cheers, hope that helps James
15. My cover of Sir Duke. Enjoy!
16. Still a bit slow for me too. I'm on a Mac and using Safari if that makes any difference!
17.
I used to have a Catalinbread Valcoder. I dont think they make them anymore so you'd have to do a bit of searching around used.
This. I have one. It's tiny, has control over the rate and depth, and the LED not only flashes in time with the rate, it also glows dimmer/brighter depending on the depth. If you have a really choppy tremelo, the LED will flash on and off accordingly, if you have a mild one, the LED will just dim/brighten in time with the rate. Awesome little pedal. I don't use mine, but I don't want to sell it. I'd be happy to let you borrow it to see if you definitely want one!
18. Haha! Yes, I'm an ugly bugger! Thanks mate, I must admit that's had some EQ fiddling in Logic. Correct, it's the Fender/AllParts jobby into my PJB Bass Buddy. The compressor on the unit is engaged, and just recorded straight into Logic via the line out of the PJB into a Lexicon Alpha Interface. The sound is fairly representative of the bass anyway, but it always sounds better with a bit of additional EQ'ing. Thanks for watching
19. Enjoy

23. Cheers dude! Was gonna try and get another Dan cover up today but not sure I'm gonna get to do it. I'm just uploading a cover of Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy" that I did yesterday. Hopefully I'll have time to get another Dan one up. Thanks again!
24. My cover of Peg by Steely Dan. I know it's a bit wafty here and there...Was just trying to get my head round Logic and iMovie so it's not as good as it could be as I was just experimenting. All comments and criticisms welcome though
25. Bugger! I Hope these haven't gone. I blew a speaker on one of my DB212's
