1. I have a little project looming and going to try these but I cannot really see the difference between the PBX and the PBXN pickups as they are both rated at 8.4k out put do any of you guys know what the difference is? cos the only one I can seem to find is the price EDIT I have just emailed the man himself I will post a reply when I get it so any one else who is interested in these can compare the 2
2.
It looks absolutely bloody awesome, I want one!
You can have this one it is for sale on ebay now
3.
bargain price for a quality upgrade!
Cheers mate
4. I have been thinking about a cheap P bass too I was thinking of buying a cheapo Westfield bass or something like that off ebay for 30 or 40 quid then modding it up with new tuners and pick ups something like Wilkinsons and I reckon I can stick together a pretty good bass for well under a ton
5. Lovely looking bass this I would of thought it had sold by now have a bump on me
6. Awesome pups I have a set in one of my basses they give a huge sound GLWTS
7. I think this is worth a peek at and it is here on basschat too http://basschat.co.uk/topic/231222-mim-fender-precision-l360-incuk-postage/
8. Ok so I have bought and sold loads of basses before and it has never bothered me but I have just sold my Fender P it is not the best or most expensive bass I have owned and I don't regret selling her as I needed the money but I am a tad sad she has gone Think we have all been a bit sad to see a bass go though haven't we?
9. They all look the same to me apart from the last one lol
10.
Well, that bump worked, thanks Thunderbird! Sold
My Pleasure
11. I have owned both and if I was to own another I may buy a Squier and swap the pick ups and tuners and it would still be a shed load cheaper than a proper Fender but saying that the neck on my Fender was awesome best neck I have ever played but why not check out the Vintage Icon series bass they are a lot of bass for your money but but a touch on the heavy side for me but the quality and sound cannot be faulted
12. Amazed this is still here they normally come up for sale and are gone in no time at all have a bump GLWTS
13. Must be good basses as Billy Sheehan ( Have I spelt that right?) uses them on his basic bass videos
14. If it was me I would go for any of the Ampeg BA series no tuner but cracking amps or a TC BH combo series they have a built in tuner but are about 250W but I would not worry about a built in tuner I don't think they are all that great but that is just my personal view
15.
What do you mean by trailing ends?
The terminal block is not mounted on to the back of the pot like on the older looms there is a bit more wire trailing off to aid fitting
16. Hi I have for sale the above we all know how fantastic these looms are CTS pots Switcraft jack and quality wiring and workmanship This is one of the newer looms with the trailing ends it has a 0.1 vintage tone cap fitted the loom was going to go in my Fender P bass but that has been sold Sorry about my naff picture skills the loom is in as new condition £18.50 posted
17. I dont really understand your reasons it is only music its not like you are doing anything wrong how about playing in a Christian church band? then you can still enjoy your music and commit to your religious beliefs at the same time. But whatever you do I wish you happiness and good luck
18.
Looks superb, and a really amazing finish Don't forget to let us know how you get on with it ..... I'd be afraid to take it out of the house - in case of damage
This what a cracking bass
19. The new AX7 album it is bloody great
20.
I've always liked DSL straps. Available from guitar guitar and strings direct. Come in different widths and slightly padded. Schaller strap locks on the straps for my custom basses. They use the same screws as standard strap buttons.
Schallers are good but the screws that came with them were to big for my G+L bass and my Fenders so I now use Fenders own straplocks and really like them but Schallers are equally as good I just did not want to drill my bass out to fit them
21. Here you go http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xernie+ball+straplock&_nkw=ernie+ball+straplock&_sacat=0&_from=R40
22. Why not try Ernie Ball's own brand of straplocks? I would think they are a direct fit for the strap pins you remove
23.
Is this Rap ?
I don't know
