1. Hi All I am getting bits and bobs together for my bitsa P bass build I would like to sort the headstock out on the neck I have and stick a nice decal on it I don't really want to put a Fender decal on it as if I decide to sell it on in the future some unscrupulous git may try and re sell it on as a real Fender but thats another issue lol so I was thinking of what other designs I could go for on the headstock I did think of some thing like the Harley Davidson winged skull design but think that may be a bit tacky so I am still trying to come up with ideas. So can any of you guys give me a real idiots guide how to apply and lacquer whichever decal I choose? or do you think my plan be sounds better the guitar body is in really good shape and is black and blue so I did think of putting a carbon wrap around the headstock or will that look naff? So I thought I would ask the infinite wisdom of all you basschatters for some ideas/input thanks in advance
 2. I have been learning Aqualung by Jethro Tull and Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy
 3.
The best p-bass I ,ve played is the one I built myself from bits with a Wizard thumper in it. It might not have the name on it but if you get it right it will sound amazing. I put a maple musicman style neck on mine,NOS schaller tuners, high mass bridge as you do and it run out at half the price of a squier So don,t be sad, enjoy your own custom build, put a jazz neck on if you like a skinny neck, maple, rosewood, blocks,no markers, fretless or whatever floats your boat. Piccies when it,s built.
Will do I shall do start and finish piccys the hardest thing I am finding at the moment is finding a good decal for the headstock I am looking for something a little different to the normal Fender decal as I do not like putting Fender decals on bitsa basses only as if you ever sell them on some dodgy people may sell them as real Fenders but I have no problem with people putting the F logo on if it is just for themselves and dont try to sell it on as something it is not, I quite fancy a winged skull decal lol

 14.
Thank you people. Just wondering now if there's an ideal brand of switch cleaner?
http://www.radioworl...JG5D1PwcDPw_wcB Most guys use that but it is all pretty much the same just don't use WD-40 in there
 15. Sure a Dingwall it is lol
 16. I use switch cleaner what I do is take the knob off the pot and then I use a tight fitting length of clear plastic tubing put that over the pot shaft to form a tight fit then give it several smallish blasts of the cleaner down the tube them I remove the tube turn the pot from left to right a few times and you will feel it become easier to turn and then I just repeat the process again if needed
 17. Not that I know much about this but could the bridge have worn down and also if it is like an acoustic bridge I am led to believe that you can only get the intonation as near as?

 20.
Haven't had a chance to try mine yet believe it or not! I imagine the neo ones would be higher output... Possibly with more emphasis on the upper midrange as that's what I've experienced with neo speakers. I have an actual free day on Monday so fingers crossed ill be able to check ot out
OOO let me know how you get on as I am really considering these for a little project soon
