1.
and for those lusting after the shell pink Jazz, it's better than you could imagine!
Damn. I should have bought it while i had the chance.

 3.
That's going to be real tasty!
I sencerely hope so. And if it sounds good and plays well, too, I'll be in trouble. Because then I also have to buy that gorgeous shell pink Jazz, if it's still available...
 4.
I'll be putting an order in for a Limelight P soon, and I'm in a similar dilemma.
I ordered my Limelight '63 P in Shoreline Gold.

 6. Very cool! I especially like the TB pickup.
 7.
Nice choice of colour I contacted Mark a while back about a light relic 66 Jazz in Shoreline Gold, he said he's look into it but never got back to me.
Hm. He responded to my email almost immediately. You should contact him again. Maybe he can do your Jazz, too, while the Shoreline is in the paint gun anyway...
 8. If she really loves you, she will get you the bass you like. Concerning the T-Bird: you shouldn't judge the TB in general after playing an Epiphone. Those sound totally different. The fundamental tone of a Gibson (!) TB is second to none. So if she insists on the TB, by all means let her get it and you both will be happy. It's a very cool bass.
 9. I stumbled over this thread 3 days ago. After scrolling through it completely, I got hooked. Contacted Mark yesterday and ordered a '63 P in Shoreline Gold, medium relic.
 10.
I keep looking at it and I'm so tempted to buy one... the thing is I don't need one, and I already have the Squier CV50 in butterscotch/maple... I don't need this!!! But what a beauty! Ok, close the Basschat window, Jose... walk away calmly...
That wood grain is just a pretty wallpaper. There's a basswood body underneath. Pretty all the same. Although I must admit I stripped mine. It's going to get a Gold finish this weekend...
 11. That's a beautiful bass indeed! I'll be in London next year in April. If it's still for sale by then, I'll come by and have a look at it...
 12.
Trick of camera
Really??
 13.
I'll take some more detailed shots tonight.
As promised: body w/o PG high mass bridge headstock front headstock back body back glued-on maple fretboard electronics
 14.
What does it look like under the pickguard? Any pics?
Looks exactly like the rest of the body. No pics yet, except the one I took right after I unboxed it: I'll take some more detailed shots tonight.
 15. I own a PB-50 and I must say it's a fine bass. Fit and finish are more than just acceptable, no sharp edges at the frets, it plays well, and sound good. The only flaw I found when I first laid a hand on it was a slightly tilted pickup: the screws were not set in at a right angle - easy to fix. Another downside - especially for a "serious gigging musician" - is the weight: 4295 Gramms is not brutal, but probably more than what you want to hang around your neck during a 2 hour show. Anyway, if I was in the market for a 5-string P, I'd rather go for the Squier VM, because IMO it just looks better. The build quality is on the same level.
 16. Gorgeous!
New knobs and pickguard and it'll be set.
Yeah, swap the white for a tort PG for more 60's vibe, and for historical correctness' sake I'd install Kluson reverse tuners. And chrome covers, of course. What's wrong with the knobs?
 17.
My Jap made 57 RI which is now sadly in the for sale section
That's a cool looking bass! And I guess it plays well, too. Really, you should keep it.
 18. It looks better in the picture than in reality: has its dings and dongs, quite some buckle rash on the back of the body, and the pickguard is shrunken, so that the tin plate protrudes all around. The finish on the back of the neck is worn down completely - that neck feels so good!! I never had a bass that played so smoothely. Fantastic. And it's a featherweight with 3520 g. And the tone! Elegant warm and rich. All this makes up for the quite colourful sunburst finish which I actually don't like that much.
 19. 1965 P, which moved in last saturday.
 20. Very nice! Congrats! I had an Energy 5-string, it was my only bass for more than 10 years. Sold it in 2004 - I regret it now, although I'm not into 5-strings any more. The Status Energy was a real good one.

 22. I think it looks good on my Tele:
 23.
What I really want is an original 1974 J-bass, but there are none on the forum hence my shop search.
PM'd.
 24. I like your socks!
