  1. Thanks mate I did some with rounds here https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/499042-sunday-bassvideo-recording/#comment-5302019 It really is super versatile. I’ve never had a better P and J sound in one instrument before.
  2. No mate there’s a thread about it here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/471651-modding-a-66-mustang-really-really/ Basically it’s got a rock style bridge and a Tbird neck pickup
  3. Thanks mate, there were some less flattering close-ups I must say! (Note to self, SMILE!)
  4. I’m honestly delighted with it. Not only is it supremely comfortable to wear for long sessions, it has all the grunt I could ask for. It sits perfectly in the mix, especially important when we have a keys and synth player. The string to string evenness (is that a word?) is very easy to work with as notes all over the neck have a ‘weight’ to them. The bridge pickup gives a little extra clarity and opens up the top end. I have found it very easy to hear myself in a range of situations.
  5. Thread bump. After playing with a tilt back the other day I really like the look of this stand. Unfortunately it's $75 shipping from the USA. Is there anything similar in the UK?
  6. Thanks mate, here's a better one from a similar angle
  7. Go on, someone ask how heavy it is 😄 (Looks awesome BTW)
  8. I used a 210 version of this at a gig the other night. I didn't know until afterwards that there was a 1x15 extension also backstage. It sounded fantastic.
  9. Just played at Nene Valley rock festival. It’s a fantastically organised and well attended setup, volunteer run and not for profit. This year it was in the grounds of Grimatone Castle. Three stages, lots of food and drink and the weather was perfect. We had a 45 minute set, my second gig with the band (Genius The Fool). For some reason we didnt get a sound check so we jumped right in, and I couldn’t hear the keys very well. It sounded like why applied reverb to the whole mix or something. Anyway it sounded ok out front and the other bands I watched on that stage were great (Especially Haze who were amazing… bassist had a twin neck Shergold (bass and 12 string guitar) and a Sei five string). I was really pleased with how we played overall. I made a couple of errors but stuff only I would probably notice. I don’t gig that much so whenever I consciously thought to myself ‘smile and look at the crowd’ it threw me a bit but by the end it was feeling really natural. I think we had about 70 people in the audience, probably one of the better crowds of the night (I think the band have a bit of a following, I’ve only joined recently).
  10. Would love to hear the thunderbenton if you’re able to record 👍🏼
  11. One from this evening at Nene Valley Rock Festival
  12. How do these differ from the CTM30?
  13. Here’s a shortcut just for you: https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/19-basses-for-sale/?sortby=start_date&sortdirection=desc
  14. You can order posts by ‘date created’ 👍🏼
  15. Ah I see, yeah that’s a pain.
  16. Sometimes with pedals like this it can be worth buying the real deal (there's one on Reverb in France for £300) because you'll be able to sell it for the same if it's not for you.
  17. I wouldn't bother with a power supply in that case - just use a battery when you use it. Be careful to unplug your lead from the pedal input when it's not being used otherwise the battery will drain.
  18. I sent Martin an email when I first picked up the YI200 from @johnbiffa but he hasn’t replied…
  19. Someone get the AF9, it’s awesome
  20. You might have missed it but I posted some recordings of my Thunderstangbacker here
  21. I started by learning the pattern of ABCDEFG from the open A string up to the fifth fret on the D string. I found that was a good place to start and I could identify other notes from their octave etc.
  22. I’ve tried one recently with a Fender 4x10 (rumble?) cab. Sounded great and those cabs can be found at reasonable prices.
  23. I once owned a Mesa 1516BE which wasn’t light but ok to move as it had wheels. I perfected a way to get it into the back of my Volvo by taking a running start at it and not worrying about my bumper. However the heaviest thing ever was this Basson 2X10 cabinet which was 100lbs on its own. It was super power hungry but sounded fantastic. This picture is taken on the landing at my parents house. How the hell did I get it up there? I also had a Trace V4 1X15 combo shortly after which I also managed to get up stairs!
  24. Hi there, yes you need to post it as a sales ad with the value of the item you want to swap as the ‘price’ Hope that makes sense Cheers
