Could I then use one of these to power the cioks and the wall wart from a single external plug? The Mutron doesn't draw much power I don't think, neither do the pedals powered by the Cioks

Hi folks One of my pedals needs powering with a wall wart. I want to put that under my pedalboard (everything else will be powered by a Cioks DC5). There should be room for a double plug (one for the wall wart, one of the Cioks) but ideally i'd like one with a removable cable. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Unless I'm missing something? The pedal requires a specific adaptor with a unique plug at the pedal end so I guess the adaptor is the only way, even though it's a bit of a faff. So any recommendations? I might be able to attach a power supply to the two 9v battery snaps but I'm not sure that'll work as it's not quite the same as an 18v supply - I think the power requirement is +/0/- 9v via a three pole plug.

Yeah thanks that should be ok I think. Should be ok then - the pedals next to each other including the flat cable for the comp measure the exact width of the board. But! Height! It appears that because I’ve got pedals up to 8cm high that the board (even without extra tall feet to accommodate mutron supply) won’t fit in the hardcase, so I’d have to buy it without and find another case!

About 9mm. The others are about the same (but they're screwed on). The Mutron also has a battery door latch which avoids fouling the deck by virtue of said feet; however the door is removable so I can always put that to one side and cover the hole with something flat. It looks as though the elevated front of the Rockboard won't be high enough to fit the Mutron supply and a plug, so I could get taller feet or if it comes to it just use the Mutron with batteries - they last ages contrary to popular belief, and the pedal can be switched off with the jacks still in it for when it's not being used, so that'll do for the time being...

I still haven’t made mine yet but I’m thinking this might be what I want. The board is a Rockboard Tres 3.2 which appears to be just the right size. I think I’m just going to have to use Velcro - the feet come off all the pedals except the Mutron but I can always glue them back on if I want to. As long as the power supply for the Mutron fits underneath (it’s a mains plug, so guess I’ll need to work out how best to do that alongside a Cioks DC5 - ideas in a postcard! The pedals shown aren’t necessarily exact because they don’t have them all on pedal playground, but in order they’ll be: Valco KGB Fuzz Valco KGB Loop (plus into tuner via line out) EHX Russian Bassballs Musitronics Mutron III in (Valco loop) MXR M87 comp That means the bypass on the mutron isn’t an issue and I can ‘guest’ other pedals when the mood takes me. Should be good I think - the pedals are very close but they’re all massive so it’s not awkward to press them at all. Anything obviously wrong here? Red is signal path, all the pedals in that are true bypass or decent buffered - amazingly the Bassballs is fine. Yellow to tuner Green is Mutron in loop. Quite often I won’t need the comp so I can go straight out of any of the other pedals in the red chain as access to jacks is easy (either top jacks or on back of pedal)

I finally caved and bought the Loop pedal. It'll be super useful for my Mutron and Muffs which don't have great bypasses. It's got everything I want in a loop pedal and more!

One thing I’ve found really useful is the Moises app. It uses AI to separate instruments into different tracks, so you can isolate and adjust them on the fly. It syncs across devices so I can listen to the songs out and about and crank the bass up independently of the other instruments to help me learn the lines. See example below. The desktop app gives full waveforms. It also tells you the chords and transcribes the lyrics. Amazing! And no I don’t have shares in the company!

It's true my Ped name evolved from Pedullaman because I played an MVP 4 string when I joined Bassworld. It was a brilliant bass. I can't remember why I sold it to be honest, but I've gone off the shape a bit. This one is a bit odd because it doesn't have the normal MVP shape and the fingerboard is unusual; usually the fretless 'Buzz/Pentabuzz/Hexabuzz' models have a super shiny coated (ebony?) board. I don't recall any maple boards but I seem to remember a more budget line with different hardware, pickups and slightly different shape so maybe it's one of those.

When you say slanted frets were they like fanned frets today? Just had a quick Google and the frets all look straight so I must be missing something. Cool looking guitar though!

Great - because the pink one is going for a song, do you know what the difference is between the Ampero and the Ampero II? It sound like you might have had the older one at some stage or are you comparing to the HX? I'm always a bit wary of new improved DSP and so forth - my main home rig is a fairly old Roland VB99 which I'm sure isn't as 'good' as the newer Roland stuff, but to my ears it's perfect...

Hi guys I'm looking for a relatively cheap multi fx for using live. I don't want to talk emy expensive single pedals very often, but it would be nice to have the option of using one or two through an fx loop or just in front of a multi fx. My friend is selling the HoTone Ampero (in pink) which looks pretty good - my needs are fairly minimal, basically I need a tuner, DI, amp/cab setting generally 'super flat' (which is what I tend to use on my Roland stuff), decent comp generally set for limiting and some passable effects. I don't feel like I need a wah rocker pedal (what's it called) on the unit, but most have them. It seems like some of the HoTone pedals are more guitar friendly, but will the Ampero be OK for my use or would you recommend a different model in their range, or something from a similar sort of company like Valeton, mooer or Flamma etc?
