1. Buying, selling, swapping, it's all a part of our obsession (illness) isn't it?
2. Perhaps Supertramps bass player suffered the same woes.
3.
Moon was the best Keith Moon-type drummer in the world!
I think he might have had a hand in inventing Moon-type drumming.
4. I've been tempted by the TC BG250 which has 4 speaker options using the same amp section, has TonePrint and built in tuner. BUT, I;m worried that it won't have enough clout when you need it. I also have my "big rig" which has a 400w head, and a 1 x 15 and a 2 x 10 GK cabs. I can't help thinking that if I swapped out the big 400 head for a class D lightweight, then the world really would be my ointment. Mind you the TC looks impressive for the bucks.
5. Watched on YouTube last week, a documentary on John Entwistle which hinted at the magic between the two of them. Amazing rhythm section!!!! if you could call it that!
6. Isn't the EB0 30.5 inch? EB3 is 34. Being as I've spent my entire life wanting to be Jack Bruce, it seems only natural etc etc.....
7. At least it's only 10 seconds long! That's about as much jazz as I can take!
8. Pics shamelessly "borrowed" from the seller via ebay.

I have just collected a Hohner Headless. All a bit weird at the moment, it seems like it's all neck and my left hand is too far from the body. Soon get used to it I'm sure. It's a posh one with active circuits and a de-tuner, so there! All set for an 80's revival.
10. I see his other listing is for a Cornet. Perhaps he is a former member of Milli Vanilla.
11. For sale is my EB 130, bought from the charming and friendly Bass Chatter Yepmop in May of last year. Makes a very loud practice amp. Maybe a bit dustier than it was last year, but works just fine. £50.00 collected, would prefer not to ship as it's big and heavy. Located at work in Maidenhead where you can plug in and scare the neighbours. I thank you!
12.
The standard is the same appart from the headstock inlays, trapezoid position markers & a gloss finnish. The electrics & everything else are the same.
I'm certain that is correct. The cheaper ones are painted with Cuprinol, and the "Heritage" ones have gloss lacquer for 400 quids more. Mind you, if it's block inlay markers you want, look no further than a £200 Epi EB3
13. It's in Events.
14.
I've had nothing but Skodas for 14 years now and I really wouldn't and couldn't waste my money on an inferior but more expensive Volkswagen.
That wasn't a passing of judgement on Skoda E.T. It was an admission of being shallow.
15. Brilliant, well done. Savour the moment, you only play your first gig once.
16. Some of us just can't get past the "Skoda' badge. Guilty as charged M'Lud.
17. Do the 30.5" scale ones dive as bad as the 34" ones?
18. Trouble is, when you try a bass in a shop, you sit with it on your knee. I was planning to try and EB3 tomorrow, I am now forewarned, thanks.
19. Pretty though.
20.
They're from the reunion tour - if they were from the 70's or 80's they'd REALLY be worth £7!
Not to me they wouldn't.
21.
Yep, mine was playable, the action was good but not perfect. Getting it perfect was what caused the break! I'm of the conclusion mine was bottoming out as any adjustment only lasted a few hours before it went back to how it was before. It was very hard to turn as well. In hindsight I reckon this was the rod twisting and untwisting itself.
One more turn Del Boy....... BANG
22. I had exactly the same on a £50 Jazz copy I foolishly bought from Ebay. It seems they always snap when they are almost right? I did the same, bearing in mind I wasn't too bothered about the result as I only wanted something for taking outdoors with me when fishing! Drilled a hole in the heel and pulled and pulled. Welded, replaced etc etc, cost me nothing but saved throwing it away, but I couldn't keep it after that, sold it on to a mate for £40.00, lesson learned. Mate gave it to his son, who apparently played it in the Cavern Club in Liverpool, so can't be all bad.
