1. Great clip of one of my personal heros. Thanks for sharing.
2. I have no money either, but thanks for the wishes and the free bump. ATB Phil
3. Boss ME50B pedal for sale with unbranded PSU, or will work from battery. Now £100.00
4. Not good news. All the very best of luck for a full recovery from me.
5. I bought this in February from GAK as a new B stock item. It had been dropped and their tech guys had repaired it. It's currently strung with Fender flats. The damage is on the back corner near the electrics cover and doesn't show from the front. The repair is reasonable anyway IMO. £180. Would prefer to deal face to face.
6. My pleasure gentlemen. Now you just watch me forget it!!!!
7.
From your initial thread title, I thought you had been sacked from your actual job - so it could have been worse.
Yes, see what you mean. It all seemed pretty terminal on wednesday, but now I don't give a damn. My replacement is by all accounts a pretty competent player, but also has a reputation of throwing toys. Good luck to 'em.
8.
Jimi Hendrix. Still one of my all time favourite bass players.
Did he play bass on Let the Come on (Let the Good Times Roll) on Electric Ladyland? I've always listened to that and thought that it doesn't sound like a "bass player", well not a normal one anyway. Just checked wicki, and it does list JH on bass on some tracks, but not that one.
9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/0/24672968 Might be worth recording?
10. Thanks again you wonderful supportive bunch of chums. Sadly the fishing is on hold whilst I sort out some mechanical problems at work. A friend of mine is on the Thames near Richmond and reckons he's sat there in a Tee Shirt. Sounds good to me, and not a backstabbing guitarist in sight!
11. That really is rather good, thanks Ped. On the second cut am I mistaken or does the vocal on the chorus sound like Michael McD? Very Steely with that keyboard.
12.
This. What sort of fishing are you doing?
Bass fishing LOL! Carping, 2 nights, beer, BBQ and tea, and plenty of each. I haven't been since I got back into music in January, now's my chance. Question is, river or lake. The Thames has been pretty much dead all this year. Ought to be fishing well in these conditions but appears not to be. Time's a ticking, be first frosts soon.
13. Thanks again chaps, knew you'd understand. BTW, my playing has NEVER been criticised, only praised. More to the point though, I haven't responded to the email I received yesterday. Would a reply cheapen me or strengthen me?
14. Thanks chaps, just wanted to get it off my chest. We weren't all that great, but the backstabbing and deceit beggars belief. I thought I was the rock of the band and above it's effect, I was wrong. I have no doubt I'm better off out of it, but it still hurts. Onwards and outwards. I still have another project on the back burner, time to turn that one up. That one will be much more fun anyway.
15. Not exactly sure why, received an email full of bullshi§. Think I'll take some time out and reflect. Being in the band has been fun, but a major disruption to my already hectic life, wouldn't mind but we have only been doing open mics and charity gigs. I turned down an offer to join a "proper" band with "proper" musicians to stay loyal to my band. Never mind, time for some "me" time at last. I'm off fishing. :-)
16.
Beware the flashing red light!
Is that what it means? I thought there was a call coming through from the Whitehouse :-)
17. I bought a Line 6 G30 from a seller on this forum. Simplicity itself to use, and so nice to not be standing on the lead and pulling it out mid gig (the lead, that is!). Mind you it does go awfully quiet when the batteries fail. That'll learn me........

Hello

Welcome from me. Good to see another "Born Again Bassist". Yams are good I think, and consider that if the body feels small to you, then it will (should be!) correspondingly lighter. Enjoy your voyage.
19. They should have a preservation order slapped on them.
20. Sylvia is in my personal top 10. Always loved it.
