  2. Just wondering if anyone has any advice for suitable string sets for a short scale bass (28.6") tuned to the A D G C configuration?

  4. Very interested in this. Do you have any idea how much postage to UK might be?

  6. Yeh this is the kind of genuine practical insight I am after because I have no idea about the strengths/limitations of the options.
  7. Lately I have been toying with the idea of have a 'silent' rehearsal/practice option at home so as to keep noise to a minimum. Thankfully, I pretty much own everything that I would need: MarkBass LMII DI'd into Focusrite Scarlet interface (I think that sounds suitable but please inform me if that is erroneous). So anyway, the bit I would like advice on is the headphones. I am not really sure what sort I am after as my experience with them is limited but I would like clean and clear (alas Markbass) and obviously be able to handle and put out the bottom end with a thud. I would be very interested to hear anybodies thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.
  8. Very happy Truetone CS6 user here. Highly recommended.
  9. Mr Black Eterna has been my go to shimmer reverb pedal for years. I've actually got 2 of them but thinking of putting one for sale soon if that is of interest?
  10. Out of interest, do these basses have a Duff signature located anywhere on the neck? Also, a close up of the neck plate would be good.
  11. Ah ha. Makes total sense.
  12. Out of interest, how do you stick the ramp to the body?
  13. So for some strange reason Pedaltrain don't offer the Nano with a hard case. To me this seems like a crazy oversight especially since my Nano setup currently has just under £1k worth of pedals attached to it which I want protected in a hard shell. So my question is does anyone have any suggestion regarding suitable aftermarket hard case options that can house a fully loaded Nano? I don't mind if the case it slightly larger than the board but the whole reason I downsized to the Nano in the first place was to limit how much I had to carry on public transport. Also, it would be a massive bonus if the case comes with a shoulder strap option! Obviously I have had a look online but just haven't manged to find something that ticks all the boxes so thought I would pick the collective Basschat brain... As always, all input is greatly received.

  16. I do find myself in agreement with this. I would go for functionality over aesthetics in this regard.

  18. I'd be interested in this if you do decide on a cash sale.
  19. Beaut. This is the EXACT bass I am looking for. If you ever decide to move it on then consider it sold..
  20. I am very interested to hear how you get on with this.
  21. I should just add that I've never noticed any latency but I dont think I play the sort of music that would highlight latency.
  22. I've always thought of the LS2 as one of the most underestimated pedals on the market. I've had mine for years and love to experiment with its use. I mostly play ambient soundscape type stuff these days with loads of reverb and delay. For a while a owned the EQD Organizer but it had one hell of a loud click when dis/engaging it which would obviously send a loud clunk sound through a super long delay signal. Hardly ideal. So I originally got the LS2 to simply quiet switch that effect off and on. Another primarily use is to have a B3K in the loop so as to maintain a completely clean and untouched bass sound with a second drive sound on the top as lowish volume. Huge fan of the LS2.
  23. This has been, without doubt, the most interesting build I have seen on these pages. The bass is a genuine beaut and the ambition is just incredible. I have loved reading and watching this thread come to life. I would love to do something myself but unfortunately the 1984 Fenders just arent my cup of tea at all. Great work...
